Over the weekend a decompile of SM64 was released: https://github.com/n64decomp/sm64/

It can compile byte perfectly to USA and JP, and EU support is coming soon.

It also can compile with Fast3D, Fast3DEX, Fast3DEX2, Fast3D 2.0H (used in Shindou) and Fast3DZEX (version used in Animal Forest - Dōbutsu no Mori)

Thoughts?

Different kinds of Fast3D? What visual or speed differences did Shindou have because of using a different one?

None, i think they just made it work "because they could". According to them using a EX variant optimizes memory usage by a little bit. I've heard reports that compiling with -O2 helps with lag

Personally I find the prospect of any decompile to be rather exciting even though I'll probably not do anything with it.

blast im late to the party , ill have to delete the other post.

still a de-compile of Goldneye or Perfect Dark would be nice, custom Direct X 12 shaders on those games would be aweseome

edit here a video of the game with some shaders
