| I'm thinking about this. E3 is in the spring, and usually a company will try to build up hype around a product. Imagine, a pre-christmas release in 2007? Wow, that's a long way to go. I can't imagine them blowing their load before E3. I'm guessing Fall 2007 for Halo 3. Yikes. |

E3 will be highly downsized next year.

| After reading that PS3 is out in November, I do believe that Halo 3 will indeed go after the release head to head. So, my final prediction is fall of 2007, just to spoil the ps3 hype. |

I say summer of 2007 because it will most likely be released the same time as the Halo movie comes out in cinemas.

| Interesting. I'm pretty confident that they would battle Nintendo and Sony since both their release dates are within days. Then again, perhaps Microsoft won't want to battle with the competitors marketing for a new system. I'm just not sure, are big titles released before the summer? |

It would be smart for them to release it this winter if they want to influence sales towards the other competitors but since the Nintendo Wii is being released on Nov.24 and the PS3 has been delayed once again for spring 07 (in europe), it really doesn't matter when they release it because the 360 is getting so many great games in 2007. It's not even funny how many games will come out next year. Although, I did hear on bungie.net that they are already testing multiplayer and single player and its running great so far.
