Okay so like this game is gonna be a must have for my WiiU when it comes out this December. I'm disapointed that its not a real Mario 3D adventure. But it is a Mario game base off Super Mario Bros + Super Mario Bros 2 AKA Doki Doki Panic.
Since Mario is the same way like in all Mario games. Luigi when he jumps he flutters his feet. Peach when she jumps she floats in mid air. And toad runs really fast.
Not into the whole Cat Suit idea, but it might work really well for this game I say.
And for ONCE Bowser is not gonna be the final boss, from the way this game looks. Princess Peach is not capture, and it is using the same style as SMB2 with out the whole picking plants and throwing them kind of style. So the final boss has to be Wort from Doki Doki Panic.
All in all this game looks amazing in every way. Might be like New Super Mario Bros, but hey this game in a full 3D world with 4 players. I don't know how excited everyone else is though.
I kinda like that they stick with the whole Super Mario 3D Land style game play. I really love that game so much on the 3DS, that I could not stop playing it for hours and hours. So this game really gonna be one heck of a game with 4 people now.
What do you all think about this new Mario game for the WiiU?

yeah, I'm a big fan of super mario myself, but it seems nintendo keeps copying itself over and over too much...
The newest one,super mario 3d world, looks great all in all, but for originality....
Mario galaxy was a great game, so a 2nd one, even greater, was made. Super mario 3d land looked A LOT like galaxy in my opinion. And the coming super mario 3d world resembles 3d land.
Just like new super mario bros for wii looked like the ds version and new super mario bros 2 looked like the wii version and new super mario bros wii u looks like new super mario bros 2.....
they keep using almost the same engine, one for 3d, one for 2d.....
Multiplayer indeed should keep things interesting in this one, I think 
A REAL new and brilliant-looking Super Mario 64 update, that's what I want  |

| I didn't really enjoy 3D Land as much as I thought I would, so I don't see myself liking this much either. |

Absolutely picking this up - and I don't even own a Wii-U! I bought New Super Mario Bros. Wii-U when it first came out, since my sister-in-law was fortunate enough to snag a console on the second day. Always been a fan of the Mario games, and always will be. Even if most of them just seem like remixed levels and new power-ups, I still have a lot of fun with them. People complain when series change, and they moan when they don't. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Mario (and Luigi) for life!

Yeah, I fully agree. I'm just a bit bummed it's Super Mario 3D World and not New Super Mario World. I don't know, 3D Land just didn't work for me for some reason, a lot of parts of it just felt like a side scroller with an annoying extra dimension you could fall out of, and the open world stuff wasn't as enjoyable as a true 3D Mario game.
I really just want a Mario platformer on par with SMB3/SMW. The New Super Mario Bros. series hasn't really gotten that good yet, IMO. |

Due to my love for Mario big time, I have to get this. And this entire game looks outstanding. Plus my whole family wants to play this game too. Looks like I'm gonna have to go pick up one more extra Wiimote to even play 4 players with everyone.
And also Dragon, I agree with you but hey it works for the Mario games over the years. The most different was Super Mario Galaxy of course. But if you look though the past. Mario has never change much over the years. His biggest and only change was going from 2D to 3D platforming in the N64 era. And that was the biggest change for Mario in history.

Why couldn't it be Tatanga? Why not superballs!? Yet another blow to the SML fandom...
