Has a PS2 game ever been decomped before? I would love to see "The Warriors", GTA San Andreas, and God of War 1 and 2 decomped and made into PC Ports. I wonder how much harder it would be to decomp those games vs N64 and PSX? |

A decompilation of GTA San Andreas (my favourite GTA game) is being worked on at:
https://github.com/gta-reversed/gta-reversed-modern
Both GTA 3 and Vice City were famously being worked on, then Rockstar forced the project to be shut down, but I think that the people behind the project carried on anyway, because it was a clean-room project, meaning that the project's members weren't decompiling the original program code, and were instead writing an original game engine that would process and use the game's data to produce a 1:1 identical copy of the input and output of the original game's engine. This is 100% legal, and so Rockstar can't stop people from doing that.
I've not played the results of any of these projects so I don't know how far advanced they might be. There might also be other projects that are less well known, or that are staying out of public sight (so to avoid Rockstar's lawyers) until they projects are finished and can be released too late for Rockstar to shut them down.
I'd suggest looking on popular GTA-related forums (sorry, I don't know of any), or spending time with google, to see what is available.
Edit: Have a read of this, it details the GTA 3/Vice City banning/continueing:

I always loved "Secret Weapons over Normandy" and when facing down the difficulty of getting it going easily on what I had I figured I'd be better just to make another game based off of the idea _________________ No Mr. Bond, I expect you to be re-coded! |
