Well, my vote would be squarly on Fighting Force 2. I dont know how many of you played the origional game or the sequal, but you can trust me on this one.
Anyway, what's your vote for the worst sequal ever?

Though I've never played it, I remember reading that Hideo Kojima was extremely embarressed by what became of Metal Gear when they went ahead did a sequel without his involvement. They pretty much made a joke out of the storyline and took away all the seriousness and good gameplay mechanics that the original had contained. He immediately discarded the game and signed on to do a real second installment. You can understand why he has such control over every aspect now.

| Not sure about the absolute worst, but Midtown Madness II was a horrible sequal to what was otherwise a great racing game. They completely abandoned what were realistics physics. |

| Silent Hill 4. that game was so lame compared to the rest of them. they got rid of everything that made an SH game an SH game like the flashlights, dark environments and scary music. they did the same thing to Resident Evil 4 but even though RE4 was a lousy RE game, it was still a good game. Silent Hill 4 was aight, but it was nothing good. |

Fighting Force was a sort of a multi player RPG fighting game. Alot like Gauntlet or a two player version of Demon Stone. You go through levels together kickin ppl's asses. But the sequal had stupid story line, impossibly slow and boring levels, easy bosses, and no multiplayer. ANd the controlls were something similar to a walking version of SuperMan 64.
Long story short, it was bad.

| The only other one that comes to mind for me is Driv3r. Many sequel games actually improve in contrast to movies. |
