When i look at a level code like facility back zones i see tons of numbers seperated by catigorys like glass A spawning points and a hole bunch of other stuff. The thing thats confusing me is how to enter these numbers corectly. Do i enter alll the numbers under one code or do i make seprate codes for each catigory. like for example do i make a new code for every catigory like this

New code

Like the Offspring song goes, you've gotta keep 'em seperated.
A GameShark v3.3 is only capable of containing 62 lines of code per cheat entry. This means you must make sure none of your entries are over that limit. If they are, only the first 62 lines will be activated. When you come across a set of codes for a customized multiplayer map, they're usually split up into many different sections. Enter them in as they appear, don't stick them together into one large entry. Becareful that they aren't too long, since there are a few codes out there like that. Try grabbing the Facility Backzone v2.0 codes off of the GoldenEye Forever website, then enter them in as you see them. So long as they've been punched in correctly, you should have no problems getting the stage to load. Which version GameShark do you have, by the way?

Yep, you'll need to turn on all of the codes included for the multimap.
It's a pain to enter them in by hand, but it'll be worth it afterwards. Smile

The emulatur ended up freezeing when i selected facility for some reson. How do i start a multieplayer in facillity back zones using a emulator without it freezing or am i doing it right and its just the emulator thats screwing up? thanks Smile

It looks like you're using an older code set.

Try these and post back your results

With Project64 open and the game running, go into the "Options" list.
From there, click on the "Settings" menu.
Inside, click on the "Options" tab.
Uncheck the box next to the "Hide Advanced Settings" option.
When you enter into the "Cheats" menu, right-click to add a new code.

OK nm i got the 1.1 version to work and its simply amazing. But I noticed
these codes for facility back zone are much shorter then the one posted at goldeneyeforever.com. What i was wondering is can i just use these codes with my gameshark instead of the ones at goldeneyeforever.com and will it work?.

The codes you just posted look to have been grabbed from the link I posted - they're the same exact codes that Wreck posted in here, just organized differently (Wreck's codes, luckily for new hackers, are detailed enough by heading such that you can try to figure out how the codes work - I wouldn't be hacking goldeneye today were it not for codes organized in this way)

For your console, those codes that you just posted yourself are the ones you want to use - they're organized for the minimum number of codesets you'll need to enter into the gameshark to run the level.

You'll want to create a new code for each ".off" line you see, so in total you'll have 3 different codes which you'll need to activate once you enter everything in.

I should also make sure of one other thing that some people forget - do you have a memory expansion pak installed on your console? If you don't you won't get very far entering/activating codes.

Are those the same codes condensed into a leser amount of sets? The pictures on your site are of the old version. I can tell by the one weapon set in The Quad room. Fac bz v2.1 doesn't have that one on the floor, but up on a balcony. That's what tricked me into thinking the codes were incorrect. Bah, I keep forgetting that I called it "v2.1" and not "v2.0". Confused

I enjoy labelling the codes to let people know what they are modifying. That way, anyone can look them over and try messing around with them. It's what I did in the beginning, and it's also how both KCGhost and BMW got started. I'm just glad I could help them out.

Hmmm thats interesting - I compared the weapons portion and the codes are identical. Apparently I didn't capture those screenshots from the same set of codes - I know at one point or another I've had both v1 and v2 codes in my notes and possibly in my emulator.

I think one of these days I might release my notes file - thing is now HUGE - ever since I've started hacking I've kept all my notes and codes in the same .txt file. Then again, even I have a hard time understanding some of what I typed, I can't imagine other people possibly understanding it.

Right, that's a good point, BMW.
I just switched my Expansion Pak with the Jumper Pak to see how it would fare. Selected the Fac bz v2.1, started the game, entered the stage. There was a single respawn in the backzone. That was it. The only other things that worked was Skip Intro & Enable All Players. I never noticed how bad it was without an Expansion Pak. Even with a GameShark Pro v3.3. I'm not sure if a v3.0 could handle the whole thing with an Expansion Pak, nevermind without. That's awful.

An Expansion Pak is a device that increases the amount of RAM for your Nintendo64 console. You see the port cover marked "Memory Expansion" inbetween the Power Switch and Reset Button? An Expansion Pak replaces the Jumper Pak currently inside. With more RAM, the system can load in more data. Certain games require it to allow access to special features, while some titles are unplayable without one. Donkey Kong 64 is one of those. Luckily for those gamers, it came with a free Expansion Pak. Unlucky for those who had shelled out the money for one before picking up a copy of DK64.
