 |
|
Well, I've been looking around for a good game to pass time with when I'm bored. I had Fable on my pc, but I've beaten more times than I can count, so I gave it away. So now I'm looking for a good game to play. I have 512 ram and Direct X 9.0 grafix chip, so I need something that can run on that. I was thinking Diablo, cuz I've heard its pretty good and I'm reading one of the books, but any games you guys know of that are good? Like HalfLife 2 or Elder Scrolls or anything like that? Just any games you've played that you think would be worth trying out.
HERE'S THE SHORT VERSION: Just some input on some games you liked.

Worms Armageddon. Worms Armageddon. Worms Armageddon. Worms Armageddon. Worms Armageddon. Worms Armageddon.
(Yes, I needed to repeat myself.)
The game will run on almost anything, but that doesn't mean it's not fun!
It's got great online play, good chat interface, boatloads of options, amazing gameplay, lots of unlockables, and it's quite addictive!
You can buy it now on eBay if you want, but unless you want Worms 2 as well, you'll have to wait until a standalone copy shows up.

You're talking about PC games only, right? I always have the original three Doom games and SimCity 2000 installed, they may be old now but they're still good for when you want to pass some time, not to mention they can run great on just about anything. |

Yea, I think I'm gonna start playing Sims 2 again. I used to play it alot when I was down in California, but when I moved up here I left my old laptop with my lil sis. It wasn't untill recently (within 6 months) that I finally bought another computer. And I just never got back into Sims since I had to start over. I should buy another laptop so I can play it in class again.
Is Diablo any fun? Or was it just a sensation in its time, and "alright" now. _________________ "Inspiration strikes but once.. If you're forgetful, carry a pen." -Me |

Yea a good game on your computer I think that is a good time consumer, very stratigic, and the hardest game in my life to beat would be Medival Total War. I still play the game a little bit (after I finally beat it Thank You God!) and it is in my oppinion one of the best stratigy games I have ever played. If your a big fan of stratigy games I recomend this one to you. |

I have a question: I've heard that Diablo 2 is customizable. Is that referring to the way you level your character? Or does it actually mean you can customize their look? If you can then that seals it as my choice. _________________ "Inspiration strikes but once.. If you're forgetful, carry a pen." -Me |

I'm tellin' ya, you'll be makin' a big mistake if ya don't get WA!
It's got tons of weapons, tons of popular gametypes, tons of different techniques, and it can get pretty difficult as well!
It also has a huge selection of voices, and you can even add your own!
Go get it, go get it, go get it, go get it, go get it, go get it! _________________ Pure hand-drawn goodness. |

Just an update: I bought Diablo 2, I played Diablo 2, and I love Diablo 2.
The grafix may not be all that great, but its still a really fun game. At least for me. Easy interface, compelling story, and challening but not impossible gameplay. I like it.
Right now I have a lvl 23 paladin who's stuck on the Demon in Act 2. (really hard to beat)
And a lvl 12 necromancer who's still pretty early in the game. _________________ "Inspiration strikes but once.. If you're forgetful, carry a pen." -Me |
