Wii Beckons For Zoonami ? [ News ]
Zoonami may not have released much in the past few years, but it seems they can't resist the Wii allure...
Author: Chris Leyton | Date Added: 02/02/2007
Founded in 2000 by former Rare head-honcho and all-round GoldenEye good-guy, Martin Hollis, it's fair to say the output (or lack of it) of Zoonami has set new standards, even compared to the less-then-prolific pace that his former studio was renowned for.
Despite the weight of expectations and rumours of a mysterious new first-person-shooter provisionally dubbed Game Zero circling around their formation, Zoonami have currently failed to release a single title in the six years to date. Whilst talk of Game Zero died down, a change of pace resulted in the imaginatively titled, FunkyDilla, being confirmed in 2004. The rhythm/action title came as a surprise, promising a "revolutionary approach to the genre" - but perhaps unsurprisingly the game has so far failed to surface. More recently, the UK studio has confirmed a collaboration with Eidos on the DS/PSP title, Zendoku, a fast-paced, action-filled, take on the Sendoku obsession that took over the world last year and due for release in Q2 2007 - although if the past is anything to go by...
With such a history, it would be easy to dismiss any rumours surrounding future projects of Zoonami; however, the mere mention of GoldenEye is still enough to make most gamers well up in a wave of nostalgia. So talk of the UK studio commencing work on a Wii title and suggestions that 'Game Zero' is once again back on track, is still enough to push past our cynicism and hope that Hollis and his team at Zoonami can rekindle the magic that they once shared with Nintendo whilst under the employment of Rare.
Who knows, Zoonami could even be working on an updated version of the seminal N64 shooter under license from Activision for Wii!
====================
There you go, I find this interesting to say the least. Zoonami hasn't done anything, is in stealth mode, and Hollis was THE man on GoldenEye. I'm not dismissing this as fiction at all. |

I could se Zoonami doing something like that... They have always been sneaky.
WHen I hear the news that goldeneye007 and all the rare published games were not playable..my freind walked over to the NOA and yelled furiously at them ( He lives in washington state)..they said if microsoft never made the XBOX and let Sega,Nintendo, and Sony continue that would have been fine. _________________ Visit Brian_Hax store of goldeneye codes

I live in washington state. I could probably organize a protest. (there's quite a few gamers at the campus.) _________________ "Inspiration strikes but once.. If you're forgetful, carry a pen." -Me |

Well, I won't get too excited but also there is no point dismissing it now either.
There is plenty to do in the meantime and if does come out, then sweet. |

Zoonami is a company by the creator of GoldenEye himself, Martin Hollis. |
