Anyone know any good commodore64 emulators?
I got VICE, but I can't get the controls to work
They are all messed up, like down and fire is NUMPAD 4+A...
Anyone? |

Well, I have tried everything...
I have emulated them all (NES, GB, GBA, MASTER SYSTEM, GAMEGEAR, SNES, N64, PS2, DREAMCAST, PCE, AMIGA, 32X, SATURN, PS1, MEGADRIVE, MEGACD, GBC, VIC, PET, 3DO, ARCADE, SNK.... everything)
But Commodore64, I just don't get it work....

try here: http://www.computerbrains.com/ccs64/
Its the best imo, and it supports netplay, if you ever want to play some games online with me just let me know! I play games like IK+, World games, Kikstart2, Bubble bobble etc, if you get the newest kaillera.dll, the netplay works great. |

If you can play snes, genesis etc, the c64 emulator should work great for you. |

I don't know, what is wrong, it just doesn't work well.
Well I can play PS2 games with no slowdown, but this is too much for me...
Maybe it just doesn't support some things in my comp. |

ah yes, I read some people are having the same problem as you, Its a hardware or direct x conflict or something. Trying an older version(of the emulator) will fix the problem im sure of it. |

Hit f9 to get to the menu, there will be a configure gamepad as well as all the other options. All types of gamepads should work and I even use my ps3 sixaxis pad with it. most games use c64 port 2 as well. Alt-f10 to switch ports ingame. |

LTStone, how you get that pad work??
I mean, how you put your controls in?
I got these options:
Control port:
Joystick
Mouse C1351
Paddes
What I choose?
And what I put in the Mode???
How I decide those controls? |

I think the emu you have is maybe too old, try a newer one:
http://www.computerbrains.com/CCS64_32.ZIP
The one you are using is probly for dos and isn't as compatible for gamepads that onlt windows recognizes.
Oh yeah the c64 was great back in the day, thousands of games (mostly all free and hacked) nes quality stuff 1981-1993 R.I.P.
100 c64 games in 10min. : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eY2gK1MPgh8 |
