 |
|
After the recent revival in interest in Goldeneye after talk of the XBOX 360 version and then the disapointment of it not happening, I decided to have another stab at emulation.
Blimey! Things have come a long way since the choppy 10fps I used to get 6 years ago. In fact I just found out about all the community stuff thats going on here (Online, level editors, new missions etc) and I must say I'm impressed and even a bit excited.
Any way I haven't got much to contribute yet as It's only been 2 days getting into this but I thought I would share something small I happened across (Probably old I know but cool nonetheless).
Anyway, I remember Goldeneye used to have a crappy dual analogue option for two controllers back on the N64. Well I'm using a dual shock style controller and fiddled with the settings in P64 to make my emulator think that I'm actually using 2 controllers and I now have a true dual analogue setup for my controller now. The control feels very smooth and feels very close to the control setup for Timesplitters.
All I need now is to improve the frame rate and I'm in heaven once again! |

That's a clever idea, although I always played it with one. |

I may be mistaken, but I thought you could in a one-on-one match. That allows up to four controllers to be used at once. I'd have to actually take a look at it again to be certain, however.
Welcome to the boards, Donkeytonk!
I hope we'll be able to answer any questions you may have. _________________

You can have a dual analog setup by just setting the C buttons to the other stick, that's how I have mine set up right now. |

Yeah, like me, but the other analog stick isn't REAL analog still...
