Remember TWINE for the N64? Well I stumbled across an old IGN review that states that is leagues ahead of GoldenEye and Perfect Dark! Jokers!

Here's the quote:

Quote:
All Things Considered I know that there are going to be hardcore Nintendo 64 owners and big-time Rare supporters who simply can't believe that any other developer could do a Bond game justice, but I want to make this very clear: The World is Not Enough has done it. The fact is that this surprise effort is leagues ahead of both Rare's shooters (yes, even Perfect Dark) in terms of technical finesse, and it plays spot-on with GoldenEye in both single-player and multiplayer environments. This is not a rehash game capitalizing on Rare's efforts. It's a spectacular Bond shooter that, even at this very early stage of completion, is demonstrating that Eurocom has hit elite status.

"I simply cannot wait to get my hands on a more complete version."

If this beta was as anywhere near as good as this guy says it was, than someone must've taken a big nasty crap on it before the final release. I honestly don't know how anyone can say that the graphics are better. Yes, they were sharp. Too sharp and jagged, in my opinion. And the enemies... don't even get me started. They were absolutely terrible. I wish I could purge the memory of this game from my mind, replacing it with images of fifteen midgets in Halloween costumes riding tricycles around a morbidly obese woman in a thong bikini eating a submarine sandwich while sitting in a kiddie pool filled with week-old chocolate pudding and listening to Tom Jones' Greatest Hits on CD.

Exactly what I was thinking.

I remember hearing great reviews when TWINE was released though, talking about how it was so much better than GE and PD, part of what made me buy it instead of PD. EA is the biggest developer/publisher in this country, I wouldn't doubt it if they paid off the reviewers, wasn't there just a controversy about that very thing and some craptacular game?

TWINE is only good compared to Tomorrow Never Dies, and that was a load of rubbish!

Hey Wreck, you really hate this game, don't you!
