I tried both, none froze. If you still insist the freeze was not a fluke, the freeze had occured when I was near the chopper with Natlaya in it, the one next to the two lodges surrounded by fence. Later on, testing this code out again, I experienced a slowdown in that area, but not a freeze. |

Good. good, (The Emperor). I'll be sure to include these codes in all the stage loads to help stabilize the presets. I played Streets the same way and there were some slow downs but no freezing, so hopefully at least 2 player will work for 27 & 28 preset types. Have to see if Wreck or Zoink can hack a 4 player force code using 2 player respawn. Thanks KCG!!! _________________ |

Multiplayer stages are more likely to crash when playing in 3 or 4-Player mode. The game has to load more data at once, which is why some maps experience blackouts. Visualization between room connections. This is often cutdown when doors are placed, but not eliminated. Levels such as Silo and Frigate see drastic improvement when all of their doors are positioned.
Those codes modify where in the setup file the Advanced Presets are to be read from. That extra line thrown into the second set determines how many respawn points are used in the current stage. I'm not sure what they are there for or what you're trying to do with them. You have already terminated the object list at the glass, I believe. Only reason I could think of why you've tried this, is to minimize load time by redirecting where the Advanced Presets are read. |

The Advanced Preset redirection shaves off about six seconds of load time, which is really quite good. The new address you've assigned consists of a part of the first object in the setup file, the flag tag token. This is read, but discarded shortly there after. A better place to redirect it to is the actual end of the Advanced Presets list. This seems to cut it down about another second. Here's the code...

I don't think it's neccessary to force a spawn amount, since the Stack setup file already reads five. So long as you've got those five fixed and positioned within the map, everything should be fine. Great work, Scotch. You did a really good job with this one. Let's see the others!
One more thing. You've still got about another 100+ lines left of code that you could use. Anyone with a v3.3 cheating device should be able to use up to 255 lines at one time. There should be plenty of available codespace leftover for weapons and armour. If you use the glass, rather than the weapons, to make your objects, you can put the rest of the stuff to use. Just a tip for next time.
One more thing, hehe. Since you're using the Surface ii weather, you may also want the appropriate music track to suit the environment...

Here you go! I find the daytime to be where it's at. The dark version is a bit glitchy even with changing the d1's to d0's. Anyways, here what she looks like! Cool, very cool. |

Those are some very nice screencaps, buddy.
Day time is much better to look at, but the night sky seems to run better on the console. You end up with a slightly highter framerate when using the Surface ii weather. Since the distance you can see is cut down, there's less to process. Still, day time with Sniper Rifles is a blast. |
