I was just wondering about the possibilities of the Hammer Editor, and if you can take a level someone constructs, and make it into a level? I have tons of ideas for levels, but don't even know where to begin when making them into multi-player levels.
If someone wants to work with me on it, I can design a bunch of levels that should be interesting... I'll just need someone else to actually code it for me into a multi-player map, or help walk me through it on MSN.
So yeah, would it be possible for me to take and design a level for multiplayer, and have it be converted by someone else... The way I understand it, each room must be a separate .map file, which is easy enough for me to do, and if Ramps are easier than stairs I can probably do those too... so yeah, What are the capabilities and requirements as far as the design goes to make it into an actual level to be played? |
