Everyone seems to overlook the other 3D Zeldas....
So if there was no Ocarina of Time, and you had to choose a 3D Zelda to play, which one would it be?
I'd say TP.
I didn't put OoT for an obvious reason. |

Never played any of them, hated OoT. I do want to give Twilight Princess a try on the Wii because the control scheme sounds really fun to me. |

I played the GameCube version of TP and I loved it. It's a long game btw, takes 30+ hours to beat without a guide. |

Don't know why everyone had such a low opinion of MM. I loved it, even more than OoT. The speedrun is insane! _________________ (\_/) Beware

I found MM to be quite the underrated game as well, but it felt somewhat rushed imo. |

Sadly, it always felt as though OoT was unfinished. It turns ou it sort of was. TP to a degree seems like the logical continuation of OoT, but again it drops off a bit at the end. Incidentally, both were rushed at the end.
TP is lovely, but it is way, way too easy. It would be worth doing a 3-heart run through the game. Plus, they litterally throw ruppees in your face and dare you to find a way to use them all.
TP's only annoyance was that most of the items just weren't of much use outside the labyrinth you gain them in. That's really shameful, since most were so absolutely cool. _________________ (\_/) Beware

(Spoilers below)
*Cough*Spinner and Dominion Rod*Cough* You also use the slingshot only 3 times and the Clawshots everywhere.
Maybe ruppees are so common in TP because of the Magic Armor.
I know the combat in TP is on the easy side, but WW's combat is even easier. In WW, you can become an invincible spinning blade of death! |

Once, for fun, I was walking all over the overworld trying to run out of ruppees with that blasted armor on. I suppose if I didn't butcher everything in my path it might have happened...
The spinner rocked, and then they abandon it entirely. At least there's that bit of ruined bridge or aquauduct or whatever that's fun to play around on. Sadly, the dominion rod was my favorite gizmo... At least there's the spider boss. The remarkably easy spider boss. Some items you never have a real use for, like spider bombs. There was one rock that it helped with.
Worst bit was how you can call the hawk in what, two places? Granted it wasn't much help but seriously, two places?
The saddest part though is how the last few labyrinths are so empty and simple. It's as though they litterally ran out of time to put things in there.
Gannon was a blast though. It's worth playing that entire game just for the Gannon battles at the end. The dragon boss is completely legally distinguishable from a certain 'colossus' game. Oh yeah, and Zelda... Ever notice how she conveniently does away with every female influence on Link's life? Zelda the Mad.
Have fairies been getting progressively skankier, or is it just me? _________________ (\_/) Beware

Remember Bombchus in OoT/MM? They don't get much use either.
My fav boss fight in TP is probably Zant. There's something fun when fighting a spastic evil guy!
It's not just you. When I first saw the Great Fairies in OoT/MM I was disgusted. Now in TP they're...yeah. |

Bombchus may be fun to play around with, but they have few puzzles and aren't that easily replenishable. In OoT for example, you use Bombchus in only 2 puzzles, and in one of said puzzles you can just use normal bombs!
On that same note, I've barely found use for Farore's Wind and Nayru's Love, especially the former.
Anyway, this is the order in which I like the 3D Zeldas, from most to least:
OoT, TP, MM, WW. |

Majora's Mask is definitly underrated, and has to be one of the best Zelda games, in my opinion. |

Ever notice that almost all Zeldas have the same basic storyline? Rescue Zelda and kill Ganon(dorf). MM's storyline is the most original imo, and also part of TP's is. |

Don't forget that wonderful Gameboy title, Ballad of the Wind Fish. It was the first to completely deviate from the Zeldas of old.
*spoiler!*
The fish was really a whale. Hello! Mammal! (Despite what Aquaman may think...)
A lot of people say TP was a continuation of OoT, but really it made more references to Link to the Past than anything, straight down to the music. _________________ (\_/) Beware
