Today MGS4 comes out and I wanted to ask how do you think it will be.

I think it will be good. I'm not getting it because my brother is, and I don't have the money either!

I don't expect very much, since there haven't been any good metal gears since the two first ones (Metal Gear, and Solid Snake), but maybe this one is better.

Oh well, the Snake's Revenge was ok, but not in the level of the first one...

I am gonna pass up on this one. Mainly because the game cannot be reviewed at all. Because no magazine or game reviewer can comment on the game's cutscene lentgh(which run half of the game) and the installation size.

Also playing PC Games that are recently made are out of the question. Because I am running an Alienware computer with 2 disc drives and SecRom has installed a chip into it that stops you from playing the game. So you have to download a crack to play the game.

I have just been playing Soilder of Fortune II, Road Rash, Army Men, Turok:The Dinosaur Hunter, Quake 2, and Edge 2(Doom 2 Mod).

I've been hooked on the series ever since playing a PlayStation Magazine sample disc that featured the first two areas of MGS. It was so unlike anything else I had seen before. The gameplay, score, voice acting, storyline. Everything about it appealed to me. I've since played nearly all the games, including the old NES Metal Gear I had purchased on eBay. However, none of the handheld incarnations have been tested, since I don't own a single portable system. Each one offers up an enjoyable time, but none of them have been able to top the experience MGS gave me.

I'm not in a huge rush to play MGS4: Guns of the Patriots, simply because of how much I have on my to-do list. I've purposely tried to steer clear of reading into it or watching too many trailers, since I practically ruined a bit of MGS2: Sons of Liberty by looking it up constantly. So long as I can avoid any spoilers, I'll be happy when I get a chance to actually sit down and play it.

Is it worth buying? I found MGS: 3 boring compared to it's predecessors.

Here is the list of console games, to my knowledge...

Metal Gear
Metal Gear: Snake's Revenge (original sequel, later pulled)
Metal Gear: Solid Snake
Metal Gear Solid
Metal Gear Solid: VR Missions
Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes (remake of MGS)
Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty
Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance
Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater
Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence
Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots
Not to mention the various handheld titles, which I won't get into.

I just saw MGS4 at a Wal-Mart last night. They had two versions available; a sixty dollar regular copy, and an eighty-five dollar limited edition. I know that sounds like a lot, but it's probably worth it. The case looks a lot bigger and nicer, too. I should read up on what the extras are, but I know I'll end up getting it, anyway.
