Also, DB, I'm thinking Rare forgot to put the rooms you mentioned on the map (like so many other things they forgot), yet they still showed the doors leading to said rooms....

This makes me wonder if there are any Beta screenshots of Bunker 2.

I'm guessing the map was made by taking a screenshot of the actual model they used for the background, so those rooms probably weren't in place at the time they made it. The stairway leading out of the bunker isn't there either.

Now, I've found 2 more similar indents, next to each door leading into the room that has the Casualty List.

I'm thinking these 2 indents were connected by a now deleted hallway, which would wrap around the room.

eh..... GERage you may be pushing it.... I don't really think that is likely. If it is, its a hell of a lot less likely than the other indent. Why would you have a one purpose hallway right behind a room you can walk through instead?

^Maybe that was why it was deleted. Then again, it's only a theory. What do you think was there, flopperr?

Reguarding the screenshot above, you mean? If that's what you mean, and allowing proposition of that a hallway once existed there, I what would be there was a whole lot of nothing, to tell you the truth. It doesn't really seem logical to have something back there, if there's a parallel hallway (well, room) right next to it.

Yes, that was exactly what I meant.

But still, it seems strange that there aren't regular curved walls where these indents are. What's even more unusual is all 3 indents are near the same room.

Good point. I guess it's possible all three indents could have connected to another room (possibly on a lower level) but maybe Rare decided it would make the Bunkers too complicated...

The two new indents could of led to/connected to a now deleted room. Have no idea what they'd be used for though. Maybe just filled with mainframes and a couple guards plus a camera.

Hmm, I wonder if the jail cells were always where they are in the final version of the game.

connery as bond, you seem to think the prison was moved to its current location. Definitely a possiblity. Also, there is a room that matches your description.... Wink

I'm now starting to believe there were 2 deleted rooms, one originally held the CCTV tape (which was moved) and the other contained something like a document or another safe key. Yes, these rooms could have been on a lower level than the rest of the Bunker.

Well, I think it's a possibility that the prison was moved.
It seems more real that they'd be deeper underground as well. Maybe just an opinion.

I think one of the deleted rooms might of held/contained a Russian Commandant (weren't they double agents in beta?)

He'd probably have... this is a stretch, but what if he had Natalya's cell key or even a safe key? Hell, maybe a door key to unlock the room with the safe.

I'm think we're reading too much into this, it's starting to look like they just modeled one corridor and duplicated it through that whole area, when they reached the ends they just added a wall in the door frame. The only places where corridors end "naturally" are in the dark area with droneguns and anywhere a corridor intersects at a right-angle.

That was a popular rumor but there's absolutely no evidence for it.
