I am not a PD or GameShark wizard, but I believe you are using a regular GameShark and not the later Game Shark Pros.
I suggest getting a Pro 3.3( i think that's the latest version) since those were made around the time of the Expansion pak's relase. Or I could be wrong.

Okay, there's a trick to it.
There are two ways to play PD with a gameshark. If you use it normally or intend to use the memory editor, you can't load the expansion pak. The GS uses the expansion pack area.
However, there are activators for each GS version that allows you to play with the expansion pak. The only catch is you won't have memory editor or be able to use comms. There's a trainer, but...
Anyway, I can't remember the codes precisely, but Krijy has them up on the PD page and in the killer doc on PD hacking.

What about the keycode? That's what I need to do in the past. Now which one was it again? |

The keycode is required to make it work at all. The activators - the bugger Krijy wrote to move the location of the code list plus the hi-res activator - allow you to use the gameshark along with th expansion pak. Otherwise, without it, the GS takes complete control of the expansion pak and the game loads 4MB.
