Things in GE that you do for fun and are unusual. Name them!

I kept trying to go into the Depot containers, and through the traintracks. Lets not forget trying to find Oddjob. |

I like destroying stuff, because for some reason I loved and still love the sound effects of shattering glass or explosions.
I sometimes shoot out lights as well, only to find out they mysteriously come back on if you destroy enough.... |

Its loserish but ive always just loved the guards in the game, they are my favourite enemies from any game. Sure Perfect Dark's guards are less dumb than the GE ones but I find the primitive and quite stupid GE guards to be far more endearing and fun to kill. I also think that on the harder difficulty the GE guards are more dangerous than the PD guards.
When I was about 12 I used to love being invisible just to watch what the guards did (scratching their asses, swatting for flies) and following their patrol routes. I always found the patrol routes of the guards in bunker II to be very neatly done. They really patrol each and every corridor of the level really well, each group of guards keeping to their own certain sections. If it was a real base, it would be formidable to infiltrate. |

Oh my, where do I begin?!
Back in the day (1998, specifically!), I used to love finding glitches. For example, throwing mines on glass then shooting the glass, but see the mines floating in mid air.
Don't ask me how, but I managed to remember a handful of those 10-step push button codes which is an amazing feat in itself! I remember going around my mates house and entering that 64 characters in multi code.
I also did the stuff you guys did too! |

Shattering glass. There's not a sweeter sound in any other game I have ever played. I just love breaking out windows around a map. What's even better, is killing of an opponent through one as it breaks. That's the ultimate in audio awesomeness.
Lights out. I also like shooting out every light in a stage, be it mission or multi. Seeing the shards of glass fall away to the floor is great. PD cranked this up a notch, by actually decreasing the lighting within the room once their light sources were destroyed. Very nice touch.
Launching characters. Using invisibility and infinite ammo in Facility was a favourite combination. Walking up to a character and planting a mine at their feet still results in a good time. I remember all kinds of unique deaths this brought on. Guards flying up into the ceilings, scientists tossed across labs, Trevelyan being blown halfway across the bottling room. Even one time, I had a scientist launch down a huge set of stairs while doing a flip. It was grand.
Scenary. I just enjoyed going around the stages and looking at every aspect of them. Checking out small little details that were thrown in for realism. Trying to find hidden objects or items, like the glass beakers on the vent in Facility. This is one of those rare games (pardon the pun) that featured incredibley nice architecture. Even to this day, I still find that GE's level design easily rivals newer titles. _________________

Hmm, here are a few of mine:
Shooting the Dam's island with paintball mode through the guard towers on the Dam. Something's screwy with the bullet clipping in the towers and you can shoot through them from the correct areas.
Playing with Bond Invisible and planting a single timed mine at a guard's feet (Single always works better than multiple, seems to make them fly farther), then waiting for it to detonate and send them flying.
Using cheats to put a huge stack of remote mines across a doorway, then detonating them as a guard walks through.
Fast/slow animation in Cradle, just for the funny endings. It's great to see Bond jump off the Cradle and fly away without the chopper, or miss the chopper entirely.
On that same note, fast/slow animation in Depot, so Bond shoots his foot or blasts the ceiling for no apparent reason (I should look into the stage's action blocks to figure out what's causing that).
Using a GS code to replicate PD's Unlimited Ammo (No Reloads) cheat for an automatic Golden Gun or rocket launcher. The beta rocket launcher's three rockets to a clip would've been awesome in multiplayer.
Shooting a guard in the ass so he jumps straight up in the air, probably the game's funniest animation, one of the harder ones to get. |

I'm with Wreck on the shattering glass. Couldn't and still can't get enough of that sh!t!
I like the slow guard death. You know, shoot them in the ass, in the foot etc. Always a hoot. |

I used to find some of the computer screens in the game were interesting. Especially the ones in Aztec, which scroll, zoom, change colour, etc. randomly and display a lot of different images. At times I would just stop to look at them!
I also liked some of the guard death animations, like the "choking" one and the one where they hold their crotch. |

When the beta version leaked out. That was big.
Also I did play the Japanese one first and it had 10 times more glitches than the American Version _________________

One I forgot, the skies. I don't know why, but I think Goldeneye's simple colored skies with scrolling colored clouds are some of the nicest looking in any game. They're definitely better than in any other game out at the time, most games had static skies with unmoving clouds and fake looking scenery in the distance, all of Goldeneye's distant scenery was a real part of the level - something that made it even better looking. It bothers me that none of the released plugins can render them correctly, they must be a lot more complicated than they look.

And it is, I recreated it, it looks a little odd if you don't fire off all three at once (The launcher sits empty until you reload it) but firing three rockets in rapid succession at a target is great. I think I should give this thing a bit of a zoom too. |

1.destroying everything in the level
2. trying to shoot a guard below the belt and watch as he slowly goes to his knees writhing in pain
3. reading all the text on the walls having no clue what it said
4.killing hostages, civilians and scientists "BY ACCIDENT" _________________ "We have always found the Irish a bit odd, They refuse to be English" Winston Churchill

I can't believe nobody mentioned the sound of bones crushing and morbid screams when you run over a guard in the tank. |
