Hi! I'm new to the forums and to emulations in general, sort of (I played some NES emulators a few years back). I'd like to congratulate all of you and especially the programmers for keeping the greatest of games alive for new players to experience and older players to reminisce, even if the corporate gaming companies don't care about that.
I have two questions regarding the N64 emulators, particularly for use in Goldeneye:
1. Will it work in MS Vista? *cringes*
2. What ball park specs are required to run Goldeneye at a decent but low rate without major problems (in terms of chip, RAM, graphics card, etc., and I do not plan on playing multiplayer, only single player)?
Very much appreciated. |

The emulators work fine on Vista, several of us use Vista with no problems at all. In terms of specs, it runs on a fairly modest system, here's my laptop's specs, which ran it fairly good (even online) with Jabo's graphics plugin:
Windows XP
1.8 GHz Mobile Pentium 4
312 MB RAM
16MB GeForce 2 Go |

Great! My comp specs don't differ much from yours. I'll try tonight and see how it runs. Thanks! |

Ok, installed it perfectly. But I can't perform the crucial video settings change as instructed here. When I start the game, it becomes the only program on my computer which I can use, I can use my mouse to click start (in windows) or to click any of the tabs, including "video settings" on my emulator. What gives? |
