You have two very different questions in this thread. The title asks "did we do it?" which I don't believe anymore, but the poll question asks if the government knew ahead of time, which I do. The government is notorious for not taking actual threats seriously but blowing minor things out of proportion.
I used to be really big on this conspiracy nonsense a few years back but believe me, all the theories start falling apart once you start listening to actual experts on various subjects such as structural engineering.
