Hello. I'm new to the boards but not the game.
I thought I'd let you know wich levels I think are the most fun to play and what I like to do in them! All on double agent of course.

The Facility.
Getting to the Gas tank room and killing Trev and then pegging it back past Orimov and the rest of the coming soldiers. You can coax them back to the bogs if you are patient enough. It's good to get a number of them buzzing around the bog with the trapdoor to the vents where you can take them out one by one or with a grenade! If however you stay one of the labs you can spin round a couple of times allowing a handful of soldiers to 'appear' or animate - I'm not sure of the right terminology but I mean when they keeop on coming out of thin air so to speak.. You can do this obviously in many levels

Surface 2.
Before entering the bunker hand around in order to get a grenade off a soldier then throw it down the steps just before you enter. This will take out the solider awaiting for you or the one that follows you down or both!

Bunker 2.
I either try to beat my fastest time (around 2:32 I think) or head straight to the corridor section where the drone guns are (taking them out quietly) allowing soldiers to see me on the way and then hide waiting for them all to keep coming and shoot them all. After doinf that for a little while it's good to take out the soldier just before the main control room. Quite a distance from the end of the corridor area. Then it's good to get the soldiers from the main control room and the room where all the boxes are on the mix. You can end up with them dotted all over the place. Finally take them all out really quietly.

Statue.
Hang around the body armour area until you manage to get a grenade of a soldier then carry on towards the statue as normal. Follow the game as normal but when you approach Natalia (before she has seen you and 'speaks') shoot her a couple of times in the leg - she will scream in pain but then instantly collapse back down into her position.
At the end just before you walk through the gates, chuck the grenade slightly ahead so that as you are marched out it blows everyone (including Natalia sometimes) except you of course

The Archives.
Similar approach to the Bunker 2 really, getting everyone on the mix etch. Shooting people from attic is good too. But I particularly like taking a shot past Mishkin so that he starts firing at you - you can then get him on the mix too. Getting the 3 soldiers from the courtyard up to the window by shooting one in the leg is good too. You can then go out to the courtyard and take them out , or take the box next to them out and blow them all up.
Again a grenade at the end is always good fun.

There must be more but these are the main ones that I always enjoy

allow me to be the first to Welcome you to Shooters Forever. Smile
my favourite level in goldeneye is the facility level or surface 2.
In Facility i like the way it resembles the movie when trevalyan walks over to ouromov and throws the gun down and the countdown starts Smile
I like Surface 2 because i love snow, i love the song used in surface, i love the ending and i like the fact that it is dark and kind of creepy and dare i say it EVIL! Twisted Evil

Those times take the p*ss, I'm clearly doing something wrong.....
I checked and my actual time on Bunker 2 on 00 Agent is 2:23 but that's still not even close to the best. I thought there was no way of getting any quicker on my time for the Runway (00 Agent) of 56 secs by again just goes to show how wrong one can be
Back to the drawing board

Happy new year

Thank you.
Yes, the Aztec can really wind me up to be honest! If it doesn't go quite right in the initial room and you start getting the sh*t shot out of you it can be really infuriating.
Also I have a real personal vendetta against those 2 guys in the next room that hide behind the crates on the left and right.

Perhaps the most annoying thing in that level or any level is when you decide that enough is enough and go to pause and hit cancel but during that time the soldiers keep on shooting you and kill you...
That makes me livid

I guess it's obligatory to mention Facility in a thread like this, it's just so well done, the layout is really incredible. And when I realized what tricks you had to perform in order to beat the time, it just added another dimension to the map.

Streets stuck with me for some reason. It has a suffocating quality to it, it's the only map with actual civilians, and they live in these narrow trenches under that dark, brooding sky. There's something unsettling about it. You almost feel that they should be thankful when you come and run them over with the tank...

Oh, by the way, welcome! I hope I didn't come off as too creepy.

No, that's great stuff.
I agree totally about the Facility. I think that the Archives and The Bunker (larger of the two) are up there too.
Then you have the Caverns and the Control. Unbelievable stuff....

Ourumov can be killed near the end of Silo. As long as you have some time left, open the door at the top of the stairs leading to him but don't let him see you. Shoot all the nearby guards and those who come running. Leave the door open and run back downstairs to the other door behind the satellite. Use the scope on the K7 and you can see Ouromov's head. Shoot him a bunch of times and he'll die, dropping a briefcase, dostovei and a key. This will save you health since he usually drills you a few times.
