Since KC has been working on changing the names of the weapons featured in GoldenEye to better suit their real world counterparts, I've decided to try and help by locating the most accurate guns possible. Here are some of my findings, feel free to post yours...

PP7: Walther PPK (7.65mm)

DD44 Dostovei: Tokarev TT33

Klobb: Skorpion VZ-61

KF7 Soviet: AKS-74 (or other AK / AKS variations, M95A Assault Rifle?)

ZMG (9mm): Uzi (Mini, Micro or Pistol)

D5K Deutsche: MP5K (A4 Kurz)

US AR33 Assault Rifle: M16 (A1 or A2 Assault Rifle)

RC-P90: FN P90

Automatic Shotgun: SPAS 12 (Closest Resemblance)

Cougar Magnum: Ruger Blackhawk (Single Six)

Nice pics. Smile. There is abit of wiggle room on many of the guns though, you can't say for sure many of them, most recently I have come to trust most of the names on Goldeneye's Wiki, exept for the AK. In the Movie, there was both AK-74's (Not 47, 74) and AKSU-74's. Then again it could have been intentioned differently for the game. On the games wiki, it is AK-47, also on the games wiki the AR33 is a Colt M16A3, but in a beta screenshot it is a Commando M16A/2. Then it even gets confusing with the Magnum, since it has so many differnet names. Ruger BlackHawk, Ruger RedHawk, .44 Magnum, Super Ruger .44 Magnum (yes ... super.). Since there are so many possibilities, my text mod is simply gonna be the choice of opinion, which sounds cooler. The only weapons for which there is not much question are like the TT33 Tokorev or the FN P90.

Im going with the AKSU-74 on the KF7 Soviet, simply because of it's beta model, check this out:
AKSU-74:

Beta KF7:

or

Doesn't look like a regular AK, looks like the AKSU-74. Then again, the newer model looks more like a regular AK, even though it looks like crap (why did they take out such a cool looking model and replace it with that ?) Its a tossup, lol.

You're right about the old KF7 Soviet looking a lot like the AKS-74u, but the newer version has more of the AKS-74 appearance. In the games internal memory, it's listed as an AK-47. However, the AK-47 has a wooden stock, where as the KF7 does not. That's what led me to the AKS series. It is really hard to say for certain what real world weapon it is, since Rare was likely to have made artistic changes along the way. Take the Automatic Shotgun, for instance.

I remembed that it was previously titled the "Spectre", but wasn't sure whether or not it was a real weapon. My mind thought that they named it after the evil organization from the earlier Connery films. It would appear that the Phantom is a Spectre M-4, which is manufactured by SITES. Excellent find, Extremist. Smile

Edit: A guy named "w00ters" on the GoldenEye Source message board pointed out in a thread that the Grenade Launcher had to have been based on the RG-6 (or 6G30 40mm Grenade Launcher). Although it may not look the same, it possess the same features. With a six round capacity, it is capable of using specialized 40mm VOG-25P bouncing fragmentation grenades.

Mega-bump: I was looking for another thread, never saw this one before, but that AKS picture jumped out at me.
I always thought the bright orange magazine in this shot was because something was unfinished with the model:

But it may have actually been intentional? Pretty strange looking; I'm glad they changed it.

That is interesting...
I had never even noticed the orange magazine before. Definitely does make the AKS-74 model seem more and more like the real world counterpart, at least to the old PchrZ prop.

I do like the old KF7 model(at least the one in your hands); but the models of the guys always looked weird.

This being a prime example. Here we have the finished KF7 Model; with the beta one in hand.

I wish they kept it like this really

It seems it could have something to do with the picture itself. I mean, look at the bright-red colours of both the table and the poster to the left. Looks like a scanned picture, so that could be it. Not sure, though.
