You all need to look into the old video games tunes like Chrono Trigger, Mario, Zombies ate my Neighbors, Metriod and Super Metriod, etc. Their are a lot of good theme songs out their but my favorite is the One Winged Angel when you have to face Sepheroth as the final boss on Final Fantasy 7!

Megaman 1, 2 and 3 musics are great, also Shadow Of The Ninja themes, Gremlins 2 for NES and Bionic Commando... Journey to Silius too...
I think NES had best musics, well the C64 also and SNES, but still my choice for the best would be NES. |

This is kind of a tricky question to answer. I mean, what generation of video games am I to pick from? There's the old school Mario theme song, middle-aged LoZ: Ocarina of Time music, and the more recent Metal Gear Solid orchestrations. Hell, Even Halo has some great tracks on it. I also really enjoy the songs featured in Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. So to pick one overall favourite is very difficult.

Donkey Kong 64 soundtrack rocks.
Super Mario 64 too.
Also GoldenEye's is pretty good. Especially the Egyptian level's.
