Sad but true, the company which used to have 185 members of staff is now down to 40 members. Say goodbye to "TimeSplitters 4"!
Good news is that David Doak and Steve Ellis are founding their own game design firm.

I'm not familiar with what "in administration" means.
It sucks that the company might go under, I haven't played SecondSight or Haze yet, but I loved all three TimeSplitters games. I remember them being well reviewed, so it's surprising that the company was in bad shape financially. |

I always unfortunately thought FRD's games were very mediocre, with such high hopes. |

I only played TimeSplitters 2 on the GC.
I was never too thrilled by the screenshots I had seen, but gave it a shot, but it didn't live up to the "it's like goldeneye" claims I had read so much.
Enemies seemed strange, moved even more strange and shooting at them was not too satisfying. Also, the player controls were not too good either, specially looking arround/walking felt strange... too smooth.
On the good side, the multiplayer was rather good although too quakey/unreal'y for my taste. Also I didn't have many chances to play against human players and AI enemies was not very fun, like playing the main game.
Oh, the chicks were hot mwhahaha |

Yeah, the games were no where near as good as GE or PD, but they still felt closer to GE than any other modern shooter I've played. |

From the rumors that have been spreading, apperantly the company started by David Doak and Steve are going to be continuing the work on TS4 _________________

It's really sad considering the timesplitters series that has come a long way, I was really anticipating the fourth one to come out...but I guess this won't be happening anytime soon! _________________

Yes, you have no idea how happy I am because Crytek is known for making first-person shooters. Now all they have to do is complete TS4 which have been in development cycle for already 2 years. _________________
