Grant Kirkhope quit Rareware right after he finished BK: N&B and switched to another game company. This pretty much killed any chance of the next Perfect Dark game of having good music (Dave Clynick is terrible).

But now, Grant's new company is out of business! Maybe he'll get desperate and beg for his old job back...

It's like the ninety percent of people who leave "Saturday Night Live" to move onto a career in the film industry. Things usually don't turn out the way they'd hoped, and the audience begins to forget all about them.

In his case, however, he has enough talent to land him a position somewhere else. I doubt he'll be a free agent for too long.

They could just use the same music files as the original, only enhancing the player program and the samples.
The music for games is made with "generic" music tools before they convert it to a game's specific format.

That's no guarantee they'll do that, though. Recently I tried Metal Gear Solid Twin Snakes, a remake of the original PlayStation game for GC. They changed all the background music I have heard so far for some crappy noise, god knows why...
