I was wondering how many people actually use that Citadel console uploader that works along with a GameShark Pro. It's available on www.goldeneyeforever.com in the multiplayer maps section. Has anyone tried the Generic Uploader that was made for a good enough play session without the use of adaptoids? I finally bought my second adaptoid so me and my siblings can play 2-player on my PC using Project64. I will probably buy a third adaptoid, then a fourth one soon. Mr. Green

BTW, I still haven't sucessfully uploaded GoldenEye setups to console. I have no idea what to do. I tried activating the solo uploader codes and then turned on the Code Generator. So when I load up a level it freezes like it normally should, but music still plays. I then click Upload Solo and it says "Upload Failed". I am 100% positive that the LPT port address is all correct and everything should be fine. However, I still don't succede. Confused I have asked SubDrag several times and he still hasn't helped at all. I wish someone would post a YouTube video tutorial on exactly how to do this. That would be appreciated. Smile

I was one of the lucky few (maybe even two) who actually got to play Citadel using the specialized uploader before it was released publically. It's always nice playing on console, which is why I wish I had a backup device. Playing on a PC is one thing, but it's so much better on real hardware.

I played it as well on console. It's much more awe-inspiring than on emulator.

I got to play it on hardware through AR uploading on my PAL GE before the AR died.
It was cool, but sadly I didn't have anyone to play with Sad

Anyway about your problem.
Are you on a NT based windows OS (2k, xp, vista, 7)?
if that's so, you need some special driver to enable parallel port access.

That's the program I use and runs perfectly on my XP machine.

GS + PC is generally a nightmare, especially under NT systems. I've been meaning to build a version that doesn't require codes, now that we can upload active codes to the GS--and move that list, remove its limitations, add more types, etc. Will ahve to do it sometime.

Also made a win16-compatible Citadel uploader that doesn't require codes, but haven't ported it up to NT. I don't have an NT computer with an LPT port handy at the moment, so I'd never be able to test it.

+_+

At the time, we weren't capable of making a console-friendly patch for use with backup devices, but nowadays that's no issue. This is the seemingly-ignored backup-friendly patch.

Is that the same as this or does it need to be updated?
