Everyone knows about the Casino level, Citadel, all bonds, ect. But what all else got changed durring the making of goldeneye. I'm sure someone has come across somthing that could be brought back into the game after looking at all the decompressed data. Things like the silo have already been discussed, but what about somthing like the last room in the train? You were never even supossed to be able to access it, I mean why not just have the door behind the shutter be locked? There are still so many unknown things about this game, even though there are hundreds of beta pictures. If there are gameshark codes that can load beta things, could it be possible that codes could be found to load beta goldeneye itself? A lot of beta remains are still intact in the game and can be easily accessed. Goldeneye got pressed for time at the end, so a lot of things were not included, however, they also were not fully deleted. _________________ .+*"*+..+*"*+..+*"*+..+*"*+..+*"*+..+*"*+.

When I first came unto Goldeneye Gameshark codes a long while ago (before these forums), I had that dream too. The fact is, resources are all thats left, references to these things are gone. There is no magical code that will make it all come back. With a lot of work, we can reconstruct some beta stuff, but never all of it. Our best chance at a truly Beta Goldneye ROM lay twofold: a: Grab a Rare developer and hold him hostage b: grab a guy who originally tested the pre-release, and again, hold him hostage. Currently there are no solutions that do not involve terroristic acts, and/or a lot of money, so I think well just continue to hope to find beta stuff and reveal it. |

hmm... this is a call for zoinkity, wreck, and subdrag!
question "would it be possible to make a .bin file to upload all beta things into goldeneye using generic uploader?"
i am not crossing my fingers... but...it would take a long time. it would be totally worth it. _________________ zerojett lives on! |

Non-Disclosure agreement, they would be way too scared of Rare. If they find this site, they might however be convinced to anonymosly leak it onto a p2p engine or BitTorrent. GE Master, hang a sign on the site, GE Testers get free pizza! That will be how we lure them in .... MWAHAHAHAAH!! |

What is that term again?
"A complete fanboy fabrication"
Didn't they say something like that about the Citadel, too?
I strongly doubt that either the Moon Base or Buddha Temple ever existed in any way, shape or form. Some one with a lot of creativity - and even more time on their hands - manipulated a few screenshots to backup their stories. There have been more fake pictures on the Internet of GoldenEye than there are of Sarah Michelle Gellar. Believe me, there are a ton of those. |

There is no one beta goldeneye, just various different stages in the games development. There are probably cartridges wich were released for E.3 and testers which have a lot of the earlier textures and objects in them (i.e: beta objects) but i am confident that we have probably found almost every Beta object that exists in the games memory. |

All the fakes are of the mission briefing, none exist of the actual level, or if they do they are like the early "citadel" pictures, some corner of the facility or some other level. _________________ .+*"*+..+*"*+..+*"*+..+*"*+..+*"*+..+*"*+.

There may be some truth to the fact that there were extra levles. I remembered seeing a picture of a mission not in the game, heres the link http://goldeneye.detstar.com/beta/thecitadel.asp
Yes i know, it is a citadel fake picture, but I havn't seen anything like it. You'll know what picture it is. Also, there is the picxture of it in the mission select screen, and a briefing picture. This may however have been related to the casino, and may have been its briefing, or a picture that was in debate of being, its mission select and briefing picture. It looks a lot like the picture surfacefreak made. It may have been edited from it, or thrown out in favor of the other picutre, but wither way the casino was trashed, sealed up, and thrown in a river. _________________ .+*"*+..+*"*+..+*"*+..+*"*+..+*"*+..+*"*+.

Let's just hack Rareware's servers, and get every line of source code that was ever typed for GE. _________________ Pure hand-drawn goodness. |

Rare labelled the missions after their geographical location on the planet, then the part named after the area featured at that location. The Citadel would not be the mission text, but the part text. Enemy Complex is far too unimaginative for the likes of Rare to have come up with. Even the Aztec Complex sounds more creative by comparison. As it was left in the final game, the Citadel is a mess. It has no identity of its own, borrowing textures from other stages. Sure, you can argue that many maps use the same ones, but not in this fashion. They're placed sloppily throughout the level, not always matching up correctly. Parts of the floor are missing in certain sections, as well as the walls in the upper connection ramp. There are no ceilings, which makes it ridiculous. There is no way that this place was ever a mission. It's simply a great place to test out controls, weapons, gadgets, props, enemies, actions, objectives, text strings and multiplayer. |
