Sideways weapons - can they be reactivated?

Just wondering if anyone has ever tried activating the BETA option for having a weapon sideways, or held upright?

Probably not, but it's something that has always intrigued me.

It's not exactly the same as seen in the beta footage, presumably the codes just lock the gun in the normal sideways-position, which can be achieved by walking close to an enemy and pointing a handgun towards him (at least my codes work that way...)
