The title should say it all. The graphics, gameplay, and sound are super-choppy and the fps stays around 15. Also, at the menu, the fps stay around 24 and everything is choppy. Currently using Rice's plugin (version 5.11) and everything else is default.
HALP!
EDIT: Forgot to mention: this happens on anything I emulate. Also, is there a plugin that can solve this? |

First of all, change your videoplugin.
Glide64 Napalm WX is probably your choice.
Also you can try the good old Jabo's Direct 3D8 1.6.
Azimer's HLE Audio plugin is great for 99% of N64 games, try it. |

What's Napalm? And I'm running an e-GeForce 8600 GT. |

download it from there, install and change away the pesky Rice.

Thank you! But what do you suggest for running games like Cruis'n World or Star Wars Episode I: Racer?
EDIT: Argh, it's just as bad. Worse yet: it forces fullscreen (more lag, and I can't close the rom file!)
EDIT 2: Turns out I'm waaay behind the curve (using version 0.1.3 or whatever), trying again...
EDIT 3: AARRRGGHHHH, it helped only slightly to update... |

1. I forgot to update to the latest Glide64 when I updated Mupen.
2. No, but it's worth a shot... *downloads*
EDIT: Project64 is very very good! Excellent framerate, too. Except Goldeneye lags it to around 80% or 90% actual game speed.
EDIT 2: The Napalm release won't let me start up Penny Racers (a 'control' game that requires little CPU power and is a good testing platform)
EDIT 3: *bump because nobody's touched this topic for a day* |
