Was checking out the level in visual editor, and noticed the left door was closed, but in-game its open. I see this is done by simple action block 1018 which makes sure it's always open.
Anyone have a thought as to why? I disabled keeping it open and it seems to not be big deal. Easier to hide I guess? Maybe didn't delete because doors are a pain to place?

Is there not a bitflag that sets a door to begin in it's opened state, like there is in GoldenEye? Maybe the Action Block toggles that flag, while doing something else (like preventing it from being interacted with by players and other characters), as well? _________________

According to our PD action blocks, the "Open Door" is constantly fired if Check door flags shows it unopened. |

Strange, it doesn't make much sense. The only thing I can think of is maybe they forced it open so you'd know it was a door (I didn't, for a fairly long time; I thought the other two were part of the background), so that you could take cover from the hoverbot in there. |

You have a point there. Aren't there actually the odd few shutters that are part of the background file, or are they just locked? Maybe some of both, more of the latter. _________________

Some are BG, but most are real doors. The few that are open are to help you dodge that annoying floating autogun.
Most are locked, but with good reason. Those are spawn points for guards inside. To avoid most people realizing where they're coming from, they stuck them in inaccesible places. _________________ (\_/) Beware
