It's been announced a while back but seriously. Sonic is one of my favorite chars in the history of video games, so yeah, I'm heavily looking forward to it!

It will feature classical 2D gameplay, which sounds awesome! The recent 3D games weren't great... I stopped at SA2B on the GameCube and that's it..

So here's some content :

Official trailer : http://www.youtube.com/v/es57DYO7xcY
OST of the first level -- Splash Hill Zone (Very Mega Drive (Or Genesis or what ever it was called Razz) like) : http://www.youtube.com/v/7vVWi7bKGVo

I don't trust Sega to pull off something like Mega Man 9. I don't even trust Capcom to do that anymore - Mega Man 10 was very disappointing to me.

It looks like a step back in the right direction. I didn't mind the first real 3D Sonic adventure for the Dreamcast, but most of them since have been pretty lousy. I really enjoyed the New Super Mario Bros. Wii, and I've seen some other classic style games that have been made for the XBLA, so it might be alright.

Now, if only a new Donkey Kong Country game would come out... Smile

I am really hoping that Gesa pulls it off well.

The last Sonic game I played was, like Sonic 3D Blast & that was too 3D for me. Laughing

I just hope there's not too much Sonic trash-talking. I don't know why, but I never liked the voice he had when he was given one.

There was an awful (supposedly, I've never played it, but I wouldn't doubt it either) game released a few years back simply called Sonic the Hedgehog, that's the second one he's referring to.
