I thought I'd share a little story with you guys..
I'm the proud owner of a 2' 1/2' ball python named Lisa..
Last time my girlfriend was here she told me that my snake had opened it's mouth after it had been sniffing her arm, and that she felt like it was trying to bite her before she had pulled her arm away..
Of course, I love my ball python and I assured her that the snake was probably only yawning or resetting its jaw (like it does after a meal), and that she was just being paranoid..
Today, however, I found out that was not the case..
While I was holding her in one arm I became distracted playing on my phone with the other, and while I did not feel her descend my arm, I turned my head just in time to see her take a chunk of my bicep into her mouth, lol..
I didn't freak out because a ball python bite is similar to a cat scratch but she tried a little death roll and definatley would not let go of my arm..
So I trotted down to my buddy's barracks room and had him pry her mouth off with a golf tee.. the end result was a miniscule amount of blood and a few bumps and scratches on my arm, but what concerns me is what would happen if she was larger.
And I'd just been contemplating getting a little spray bottle full of alcahol (snakes can't stand high grade alcohol) to spray on her (in case she ever decided to bite me) right before she latched on..
Anyway, that's my story.. _________________ "Inspiration strikes but once.. If you're forgetful, carry a pen." -Me
