Kevin, I think you are deluded into thinking that replying "humorously" to serious critizism somehow makes you nicer or less of a troll. I say this now because it's not the first time you pull off the same lame trick (and surely not the last if we must pay credit to your trajectory).

I feel that it's my duty to inform you that this only works in your mind. Outside, in the real world, it just makes you more annoying to everyone else.

Just something for you to consider.

Okay, I'll look at things from your perspective, if you look at them from mine.


Mine:
A man just joined this forum (a gaming forum), on his sixth post he claims to be a 75 (or something like that) year old man that plays first person shooter games. Anyone else find this odd?

Anyway, it doesn't matter how odd it is or if it's true or not. You, out of all people, are not one to be judging and, even less, insulting anyone arround here, no matter what.

1. Do I find it odd that some +70 year old is interested in what we do here? yes, I find it... unlikely to say the least.

2. Do I care if he's saying the truth about his age? NO, ABSOLUTELLY NOT, and you shouldn't either.

3. Does it constitute trolling? heck NO. Even if it is a lie, which is yet to be demonstrated (not that I have any interest in investigating it, and you shouldn't either), it's NOT TROLLING.

4. If it was a lie (which is uncertain, at best), does it warrant calling him a troll? NO. period.

and finally:

In the rare case that anyone other than YOU, Kevin, was actually trolling in these forums, YOU would be the LAST PERSON to have the right to even point it out, and even if such a ridiculously impossible situation came to be, and you did what you just did, you'd be just adding more trolling to the whole matter, by using *chan like crap like you used.

But these are all hypotetical cases, so I should return to the actual facts that happened and say that what you just did was alienate and unjustly accuse of trolling someone who, at worst, was just playing a foolish and completelly inoffensive joke.

Would it cause you any prejudice if that person was a 12 year old, instead of 74?

And, as unlikely as it sounds, what if that person IS 74 years old??

I really am not as bad as I was when I first joined, admit it. I'm trying, honestly. You and I just don't see eye-to-eye on the subject of "what's a good topic and what isn't". I have personally refrained from posting tons of topics that I have thought up, because I didn't think anyone here would care, or that it wouldn't matter too much in the grand scheme of things.

Well, believe it or not, I'm calm. If I weren't I would have gone ape insulting him for all he's worth.
I'm just giving up on him because I think he's hopeless. No matter how much you try to speak sense into him, he goes and replies with some lapidary stupidity or puts some stupid insulting "whatever-chan" style picture.

You say he needs to learn manners... I say he'll probably never learn them. Moreover; in my opnion, manners are not the ultimate solution, but if you can't do anything better, manners are a must. Kevin has shown he doesn't even understand that, so I think he's quite hopeless.
