you know, something just occurred to me that for some reason, I never really thought of thoroughly before while playing Perfect Dark..
in the Carrington Institute mission, Carrington says "The Skedar have taken hostages"
now, granted, DataDyne was working with the Skedar.. but they aren't -the- Skedar. But it's DataDyne guards who are holding the members of CI hostage! not Mr. Blondes or actual Skedar!
I wonder why that is. |

| maybe they were going to be skedars before they recorded the voice samples and then for some reason they changed the setup but they didn't record a new voice over. |

| I've always assumed those shocktroopers were actually working for the Skedar and not dataDyne by that point. The mission takes place at the same time as Mr. Blonde's Revenge, so these may well be the last of the dataDyne guards. |

Same, and also Skeadars are holding hostages, but not in the institute.
Just play the next mission and you arent the only captive there. Also one skedar is coming through the front door, maybe earlier there was more of 'em and they took some CI soldiers as hostages? |

Maybe the Skedar are disguised as DD and Mr. Blondes that come.

Well the thing that is bugging me is why is there only one normal Skedar? :3

Maybe that was a bit too specific? I think when Carrington realized that there was a Skedar fighter approaching the Institute, and an actual Skedar crashed through the upper balcony doors, he kind of just assumed it was the Skedar. Which, in a way, was correct. It was the Skedar. They just happened to still have control over some of the expendable dD troops. Which, at that point in story, may not have known about the capture of Cassandra de Vries and the destruction of their global headquarters. Either that, or they were too afraid to say "no".

Those DataDyne guards remind me of Trent. Because NSA, and Shock Troopers, both worked with Trent at one point. And on the Air Force One level, he is seen with 2 blonde guards next to him. Preferably Skedar. And he used to work with Mr. Blonde [A disguised Skedar] till Alaska where Trent was killed.
