Alternative Rock, A little bit of Hard Rock, Thrash Metal [1 Band only (Metallica]. And that's pretty much it.

Alternative Rock is by far the best I've heard.

Edit: Yes, Techno and Trance as well. Good genres. Along with EA, I dislike rap.

I prefer hard techno or any genre related to it (Synthpop being the only exception off the top of my head), as well as video game music.

I listen to many different genres of music but I would have to say that my favorites are prog metal, sludge metal, post-metal, and rap from the 90's.

Introducted in the early 2000's, it's a British genre, with heavy trance/techno combined with Bass Drops to make this EPIC sound. Lot's of mixing.

Try blasting that in your car full blast.

I basically like any genre as long as the composition/arrangement has a reasonable ration of melody that can be followed and distinguished, has merit in the instrumentation, etc.
I rarely like stuff like rap and these new genres, like the mentioned dubstep, etc, I don't even know what they are exactly, but the samples some people have forced me to hear I haven't liked.

I like anything from modern to classic. I don't have too many restrictions genre-wise, I'm not even too aware of genres. I just listen to what I find and decide whether I like it or not and can't be arsed to pay attention to fuzzy genre classifications. I do have to recognize that there are genres that seem to have little to offer to me.
Classic genres were more defined, but nowadays everything mixes this and that, and probably that's the best way to make something great.
