This forum seems dead but if anybody comes along and reads this, i'd love to know how to get started with this. I have been unable to find any information for newbies like me. Not that i'm a newbie to goldeneye, see my signature..if anyone can help I appreciate it very much. thank you.

1) You need n Emulator. PJ64 is a good one
2) A Rom, sorry we cant give info about that
3) I recommend Glide64 as a video plugin for Goldeneye

Download Project 64: http://www.pj64-emu.com/downloads/project64/binaries/

[You will get a Spam quiz, you'll have to glitch it to click on the link]

The ROM's aren't to be discussed on this forum due to legal issues. Just use Google, and your set. Wink

Its very easy. Dont use pj64 for goldeney online. The gaming doesnt last long. 1.) Ok go here http://www.goldeneyeonline.com 2.) Scroll down a little until u see mupen64++beta 0.1.3.12
3.) Save it to new folder on your desktop 4.) Name it mupen or anything you want.
5.) Then go here http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm for WinRAR x86 (32 bit) 3.93, run it, then just ok everything. (dont worry about some buy trial thing if it pops up. ignore that. its totally free) It should save in your start programs.
6.) Open your folder where mupen is saved from desktop as mentioned in step 3.
7.) Double-click the yellow Mupen64++_Beta_0.1.3.12. double-click it again.
8.) Where it says mupen64pp, right -click it then click Create Shortcut so it will be on your desktop as an icon.
Ok now u should have your mupen page open in front of you. (IF YOU DONT USE A CONTROLLER SKIP TO STEP 9, IF YOU DO HAVE ONE, YOU HAVE TO DO THIS.
First go to Control Panel, then Game Controllers. A controller should be listed if you have one plugged in. If so, click properties. Move you controller stick or whatever to see if there is motion. Ok then click Settings tab. Click Calibrate... click next, next again. Move you stick around again to see if its working. Make sure Display Raw Date is unchecked. Just go through the next processes there just a waste. Now your controller should be set up. Click Ok to get out of Game Controllers.
9.) Ok back to your mupen page. Click Options, then Input Settings. Here you can set what you want the buttons to do. (For Goldeneye 007 on n64 controller, A=Change weapon B=Reload C buttons=side step, look down, look up D-pad=strafe forward or sideways L or R= aim Z=Shoot weapon or slap.) If you dont use a controller, you can set your keyboard buttons up here instead. Only set Controller 1 up just for you. Dont worry about the other controllers.
11.) When youre done setting up Controller 1 buttons, make sure Plugged is checked on all controller tabs. Then click Controler Pak. Make sure raw data is unchecked on all controllers. NOW YOUR CONTROLLER SETTINGS SHOULD BE ALL SET!!!
10) Go here *ROM link Removed* for Goldeneye.
13.) Save it to a new folder like you did for mupen, name it mupen roms or anything u want. This is where you will save your n64 games.
14.) After Goldeneye 007 is saved, click Options, then Settings...
15.) Click Directories tab, then click Add
16.) Double-click the folder you saved mupen in, then highlight mupen roms or whatever you named it. just highlight it dont double-click it.
17.) Click Ok. Click Ok again.
18.)Goldeneye 007 (U) [!] should appear on your page. (if it didnt appear, click file. then click refresh ROM list. If it didnt appear again, close mupen then reopen mupen again. Then refresh ROM list again. It may appear.)
15.) Double-click Goldeneye 007 (U) [!] to test it out.
Everything should be good LOL. Now your ready to play online!!!
16.) Click Utilities, then KailleraClient (Netplay)
17.) Here you can type in your username. Name yourself anything you want.

And I thought we already explained this.

I even disclaimed about the ROM links.

Anyways, I think he gets the point now on how to play games online. It's been a while since this thread was made.
