 |
|
I saw this video on YouTube:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j010dARF1d8
Immediately I noticed the Goldeneye cartridge. I remember reading a post here stating that the Not For Resale cart likely was just a retail game with a different label, but then I remembered the demos from stores like Walmart. Do you think that this guy has a demo with beta content?
I also remember a forum that I used to browse, 64dd.net. A person there had a Not For Resale copy, SubDrag asked if it contained beta content, but the person never replied. This Person on YouTube seems to be active on youtube still, have the Not For Resale cart, and even be into Goldeneye Hacking! If you look at his most recent video, he has an EverDrive 64 that he uses to run hacks on his console.
If someone would want to contact him, he may be willing to dump the cartridge.
EDIT: Sorry, this may belong in the Q-Lab. If it does, could a moderator move it there? |

They're most likely not KIOSK copies (Store demos).
Sub owns a "Not for resale" PD cart and it's the full game. _________________

Where did these demos come from if it was not a store? |

I'm sure the majority are not Demos, yet promotional releases of the games? Promotional releases can be passed down person by person. _________________

Yeah they're identical to retail I forget who I asked but somebody confirmed. Still would be cool to own thoughts. I do have PD one. |

Aaaawww, I was hoping I had found a Walmart demo cart. Out of curiosity, if the PD ROM is dumped, does it work with the setup editor? |

Being identical to retail 1.0 it wouldn't really.
The editor only supports the final version of PD, after the horrifying crash bugs were finally fixed. Sadly, between versions, a lot of data winds up moving around and that goofs the editor up. _________________ (\_/) Beware

Didn't they bundle Goldeneye with the N64 for a while? Wouldn't surprise me if it came from that. I know pack-in Genesis games always had that label; I had a Not For Resale Sonic 2 cart, which I ended up selling years ago. |

Did they? I didn't think that they would because it is rated T. |

I'll have to check my copy - it was bundled with my N64, and I live in the UK! |
