Goldeneye HD
So i am working on a big project where i will be designing all the levels (solo and multiplayer) from the original Goldeneye Game on the N64, Just in HD.
But of course,
I am ONLY a: Level Designer and game programmer, i am not able to:
Compose music (Except for simple dubstep (not useful though...) )
Artwork, (I can make some myself, but not much...)
Animation (I can basic 3d modeling, but i could need moveable 3d models too. and of course normal models..)
Story Writer (Only needed for bonus maps.)
So i could need all the help i can get! So just write a reply explaning, perhaps giving a sample, and you might get a job on the project, (If you have a indiedb, moddb account it's perfect, cause then you can join the project page (coming soon...) )
NOTES:
The game is in early alpha stage.
I don't have any footage to share (Yet)
This will take time, but i hoped to have it ready somewhere in 2013.
FAQ:
Q: Can we make own maps for it?
A: I might be making a SDK and some tutorials so you can make your own maps, and missions!
Q: Will there be new levels too.
A: Yes i were thinking of making some of my own bonus levels for the game.
Q: Will you ever make this available for Mac?
A: That depends on the engine i'm using, at the moment it only supports Windows, but i will make a mac version if it gets added!
Q: Will it have online multiplayer?
A: Yes it will probably have online mutliplayer.
Q: What could your project provide that isn't provided in Eurocom's GoldenEye?
A: The project, will be having the same levels as the original N64 game, like: The same levels made again all the same just HD, the fact of people being able to design their own maps.
Q: What engine will you be using?
A: I will be using blitz 3D.
Ask your own questions in a reply below, and i'l try to answer it.

I can see you are obviously excited about this project, but I don't think you fully understand how much time and effort a game requires to make. I have some questions that were not answered in your FAQ.
What could your project provide that isn't provided in Eurocom's GoldenEye?
What engine will you be using?
Is this your first project you have worked on as a 'game programmer'? |

I do exactly know, how much effort and time it is to make this, i am engaged because it's one of the best projects i have made in a while...
The project, will be having the same levels, like: The same levels made again all the same just HD, the fact of people being able to design their own maps.
i will be using blitz 3D.
And i have been making 3D games for soon 5 years. |

This sounds great, but like Stolen I think you're taking on a very ambitious project and the internet is full ambitious projects that never get finished, or even properly started.
When saying, as you have, that you're going to be creating something impressive, then if you're not known to the board/group then it's always a good idea to link to things you've done in the past, to show that you are capable and dedicated to seeing it through. You say you've been making 3D games for five years, can you link to the games you've worked on, to give us an idea of what you're capable of, and also to hopefully introduce us to some fun games too.
It's not that anyone here doubts your abilities, necessarily, and it's certainly not intended to cause offense; it's just that you're new to this board, and you are taking on a large and involved project, so it would be good to know that you understand what you are undertaking, and that you do have the patience and skills to see a game through to fruition. |

I wish you the best of luck with this project. It will certainly be a huge undertaking. GoldenEye: Source has been in the works for years, so I don't doubt that this may take quite a bit of time as well. Looking forward to seeing some screenshots from the game. _________________

Great idea, may the luck be with you!
Yes, indeed, like others said, this is going to take a lot of time, but the results sound promising. I have to admit that this makes me very curious... |

Thanks for all the support and i have some great news!
The intro music, might be getting a remixed song as the game will be a bit unique...
AND:
The level: Dam is near in completion, as soon as the map itself is finished i'l add collisions, objects, explosion. so i thought i'd might upload a small walk around the map alpha, to here your thoughts, so i can fix things before it's too late.
Tell me what you think of the new ideas. |

Great idea! I agree with everyone, in the fact that it will take a great amount of time to make it a good remake. I wish you the best of luck, and I am very curious to see what is coming! _________________ YouTube Channel: http://Youtube.com/Peep5167
