Thanks guys the games you mention seems interesting. The one I am most interested though is Monster Hunter Tri Ultimate. That game seems pretty awesome if I do say so myself. And you are right Sogun, there is a demo for it. I am downloading it right now. I will tell you about it once I am done playing it.
Also about the 1080P thing. I thought Nintendo stated it runs in 1080P Resolution. Did they change their minds? _________________ There totally nothing to read here. |

The WiiU can display up to 1080p but it's up for every game to run in an specific resolution. I'm talking about native resolution. New Super Mario BROS U runs at 720p but I suppose the WiiU rescales the game to 1080p if needed, but that won't make it look as good as native 1080p.
XBOX360 and PS3 can run games at 1080p too, but only very few of them really do. The 360 rescales all its games to 1080 if needed. Not sure about the PS3.
Resolution is something like frames per second, where companies decide to lessen the fps in order to get better graphics. 30 fps was set as standard, but it's common than most games can't even reach them. Not to mention some games disable Vsync in order to gain some extra fps but in exchange of having "cuts" on the screen, which are very annoying.
With resolution is the same, even with some games running below 720p.
So games with very good graphics are expected to run at 720p and 30 fps, and games with more simplistic graphics are expected to run at 1080p and 60 fps.
Monster Hunter tri Ultimate is basically a Wii port with lots of extra content and some improved graphics (high resolution textures, but I don't think they remodeled the monsters, they looked very good on Wii, though). This game runs at native 1080p, so perhaps you'll notice a better aliasing compared to the Mario game. Not sure if it runs at 30 or 60 fps... |

What's your Network ID EternallyAries? I'll send you a request.
As for games: I'm looking forward to getting Need for Speed Most Wanted, Lego City Undercover , Wind Waker HD and the other new Mario/Zelda and Smash Bros games, also the new Assassin's Creed looks good as well. (I have Creed 3 and it's pretty awesome.)
I'm also DYING to know what Retro is working on. |

My network ID is EternallyAries or Aries.
But I just finish New Super Mario Bros U 100% just today so I won't be on the WiiU as much till I get more games. Now need to play Nintendo Land and rock that game. As for Monster Hunter. I downloaded the demo. And the game looks amazing in everyway. Only one problem though is that it has to load in every area you go to. But its not that bad due to the fact that the load time is so amazingly fast it hardly bothers me one bit. But might be buying that game along with the upcoming Wind Waker game that coming out. Since I LOVE Wind Waker back in the GameCube days. And I have recently found out they have plans for a brand new Mario Adventure game. I hope it won't be Super Mario Galaxy type game. Due to the fact that playing the first 2 games and 100% them makes me so tired of seeing space. I love to see Mushroom kingdom though. I mean we seen it only in 2D style Mario games. But not full blown 3D. Can't really say Super Mario 3D Land was a full version of 3D Mushroom Kingdom but you got my point. Anyway I am really excited about this year. Because it seems Nintendo is going all out. And we will be getting a ton of games for this year. I can't hardly wait. _________________ There totally nothing to read here. |

I hope that a Super Mario Sunshine HD Remake is under consideration as well, or at least a sequel D: |

Yeah, I was dissapointed too with the fact that the world is separated in small rooms and there's a 2 second loading screen when going from one to the other, but you'll soon understand that's one of the gameplay basis and won't bother anymore.
Every room needs a different strategy to fight the monsters. And sometimes running to other rooms comes in handy, hehe.

Indeed the game is quite amazing even with the short loading times. I can easily say its a must have game if you get a WiiU. As for that Mario 64 hack of yours. I was thinking of doing the same exact style and making it a 3D world of super Mario Bros 1 but in Super Mario 64 style. The idea got scratch and move on over to Super Mario World Style kind of game. I got photos of the project on the forums somewhere. I would have to look though the forums to find it if you are interested at all. I would be continuing the project if I did not lose the files back then. _________________ There totally nothing to read here. |
