Strati at the GCN has released a new mod for the Ocarina of Time Debug ROM. Also it works on N64 hardware!
All of the Animal/humanoid fleshy's now bleed just about. Anything that should bleed when you attack them.
List of enemies that have been changed to bleed:
Dodongos, Keese, Lizalfos/Dinolfos, Kid Dodongos [not tested], Moblins, Wolfos [not tested], Guays, Twinrova, Ganondorf, Cuccos, Gerudo Guards/Fighters.

Interesting, is this something in the code but disabled by default? |

Nah, it's custom. Strati said he found a way to change damage animations and done so, it's the first time to my knowledge that anyone's tested custom animations for OoT on hardware, and I was glad to see it worked.
The idea for the hack was probably given to him because of the argument we were all having in a thread about whether or not Zelda games like OoT, or Twilight Princess should have more blood.
A lot of people actually had a problem with him making the mod, but I think it's pretty rad. _________________ http://heavyd139.wix.com/project-rebirth |

Yeah, I could see why people might have a problem with it, that's actually why I asked if it were something that was disabled by default. I could totally see this being in the game - it's not over the top at all, and fits in with the blood OOT already has in its original releases. |

Being limitted is certainly something in your favour. Since the very first title, the majority of monsters were magical and stated such in the manual and supplements. Limitting blood to only actual, humanoid things that have it makes it easier to appreciate it's use, plus it inherently isn't so prevalent as to make the whole affair macabre.
After all, this isn't MK3 ;*)
Mind you, I'm a member of the "blood is stupid" camp, but there really isn't a problem with this. Good job on the hacking work! _________________ (\_/) Beware
