I'd say a Sega Megadrive (PAL Genesis). |

That's tough, considering that my brother 'owned' most of the consoles we had when I was a wee lad. He's six years older than me, so he had more time to receive them as gifts. I'd say that the Atari and NES were his. But, the Super NES was mine. Of course, the first game to go along with that was Super Mario World. Other games included Super Adventure Island and Super Punch-Out. Man, Super Punch-Out is the best boxing game, in my opinion. I was awesome at it. I'd almost bet that I have world record times against certain fighters. It's all about the counter, ladies. _________________

Although my friends started playing games earlier than me, and had NES's and SNES's, my first console was the N64 with Super Mario 64. God thats a great game.
However, just because I grew up with N64 doesn't mean I dont appreciate older games. I became a vintage game nut for a while, downloading emulators and playing great old games going back far in time: SNES, NES, Arcade, Intellivision, and ... the Commodore 64. |

The first game I was ever really interested in was Star Fox 64.
The first system I got was my Nintendo 64, but I've never had enough money to buy games for it. Only rent them.
After that, I had an Xbox for a while, but I sold it a few months ago.
My third system will be a Gamecube. I'm going to be getting it almost solely for Twilight Princess. _________________ Pure hand-drawn goodness. |

My first console system was an NES with Super Mario/Duck Hunt.
My first true video games, however, were on the TRS-80 Model III computer. I actually wrote some of my own games in Level II Basic. One of these days I'm gonna fire up that computer and look at some of my old coding (I was like 8-10 years old when I was writing that stuff). I haven't had that thing powered up in probably 7 or 8 years.
The only game I remember for certain writing was a text-based football game. If I can ever figure out a way to easily port the BASIC code off the old floppy disc to my PC, I might post the code just so all you young-ens can see what video game programming used to look like way back in the day.
Actually I remember writing another game - a graphical version of the Press Your Luck game show. Worked quite well if I remember correctly.
Now I'm curious! Time to fire that thing up and see what's on those old floppy 5.25 inch discs (hopefully they're still readable as they've been in storage in a basement for years) |

I'm pretty sure it was Battletoads on the Sega Genesis.
Man that game was sweet. |

There were many great C-64 games. Maniac Mansion and Choplifter were among my favorites.
One of the first RPGs I ever played was on the C-64 - it was Ultima IV - Quest of the Avatar. |
