Geezus! That's stunning...I'm literally speechless with how this is coming along! I do have a slightly off topic question however:
Is there anyone here who can code, who was officially taught at a university or something? Because I know that I sure wasn't lol _________________ No Mr. Bond, I expect you to be re-coded! |

I wrote this 3 days ago but the site was down, so here it is:
Ok, little update. Admittedly I've been slacking on this very much and I don't think you guys would be very happy if I told you the last date I opened the project solution excluding yesterday. Anyway, I refined some of the code for the Image Editor, at least the ripping portion of it from the ROM. The editor has support of ripping the first 1000 (of 6000..) Bitmap files, because many files are still giving errors during the ripping, but I'm trying my best to amend these errors, efficiently and in some cases inefficiently (using temp. quick fixes.)
You can view the first thousand here, try to pick out anything you recongnize. On each image there may be a couple miscolored pixels at the top right, no worries, I've already taken steps to combat this. 7 uncompressed Images were filtered out during the exportation process so far as having no data or being smaller than 20 bytes in size, which is an empty file with just a header. You may notice image 002222F0 in the archive is not functioning -- it's image #945, the image that is giving me the current issue I'm stuck on. It decompresses fine as you can see in BGBINTEMP3 but it still returns an inflation error even though everything has returned OK, and when I try to decompress it in HexEdit it gives me a corruption error -- yet all the data is there. Still don't know why it's not outputing a BMP file. Will look into it later.
SubDrag, as you may have noticed the FTP for updates/changelog no longer worked since long long ago, I just simply don't host my webserver anymore. If I ever make a significant update, I'll just update this forum.
As for another update, here is what I wrote on 3/18 in my change log:
Quote: | - Completely renewed method of parsing objects of setup file
+ allows for removal, addition, and altering of all setup elements
including support for warps and start points
- Different method of writing several setups to ROM -- injection method now in place.
- Added ability to set the ID of a start point and ability to change what ID the Warp looks at for
spawn point at target location
- The (dreadful) paths editor supports alteration of what enemy ID it's targetting
+ currently only has support for Blue Drones in elements editor. Will map galaxiens and others in with time. |
