Not sure about you, but for a small library of games for the WiiU. It has one heck of a gaming library that still growing. Mario Kart 8 being one of the best games on the console along with Super Mario 3D World.
But for a none Mario game, I would say Lego City is pretty dang good, even though its only for the WiiU, Its quite amazing title. _________________ There totally nothing to read here. |

Well, I don't think there's any singular best game, but if I had to pick...
Crusader Kings II
Europa Universalis 4
Victoria 2
Hotline Miami
Thomas was Alone
Worms
to name a few... _________________ Also known as Spyster or Nyxem

Batman: Arkham City!!!!
That and Bioshock 2 (a first person shooter, of course) are my joint favourite games of the XBox 360/PS3 games. There have been lots of great games released for these consoles, but if I had to choose one it would be one of those two games.
But if you decide to play either of these games, then in both cases play the series in the order of release, i.e;
Play:
Batman: Arkham Asylum,
Batman: Arkham City
Batman: Arkham Origins
as each game introduces things that are included in the later game(s). Arkham Origins is actually a prequel, but the two other games don't reference it, so it's not important.
And for the Bioshock games, play:
Bioshock,
Bioshock 2,
Bioshock 2: Mnerva's Den (the addon/DLC package, which is very good indeed),
Bioshock: Infinite (which is nothing to do with the other Bioshocks, aside from a reference at the end of B:I)
If you like, you can then play the two B:I addons, Burial at Sea 1 and 2, but I've only played the first one and didn't like it. I did download the second (I've bought the season pass), but haven't yet played it since my hopes aren't high that it's any good.
Oh, and if you have a PS3 or XBox 360, then I really recommend the Ultimate Rapture Edition, which is a collection of Bioshock 1, Bioshock 2, and the DLC (downloadable content) for both games, including Minerva's Den. It's a really great compilation, with a (sadly very small) virtual museum you can walk around that shows you abandoned/unmade characters that weren't used in the final games.

For some reason, though, I don;t think this compilation is available for the PC, although the individual games are.
It doesn't include Bioshock: Infinite, of course, but to me it's the worst of the three games anyway, but if you want it then it's probably pretty inexpensive now anyway. I was massively looking forward to B:I, but unlike B1 and B2, B:I wasn't as good as I'd hoped, though lots of people seem to love it. |

There was one indie game that my friend and I discovered on the Xbox a long time ago called Bleed. It was like Contra and we liked it a lot. We still have to buy it. XD |

Just realized that this is under non gaming. Whenever the chance comes move it to game on. I played the Demo to Bioshock last week. Gotta say the under water theme was nice. But why do most horror games have a female doctor of some kind. _________________ www.youtube.com/gamerrey23 |

Bioshock 1 doesn't have a female doctor. Bioshock 2 does, but she's a psychiatrist.

Well, you asked for our favourites, which does imply that the games be very good, which in turn implies that the games will be very popular (since great games usually are very popular), and so will probably be very well known.
Lesser known great games that aren't first person shooters includes Vanquish, Saboteur, and the Earth Defence Force games. The EDF games are third person shooters set on Earth, where you have to fight off an invasion of giant insect aliens. There are lots of weapons, and you can choose the military class of your ingame character, such as an infantry man, who is limited to moving on the ground, but can use available vehicles, or a jet pack equipped woman, who can't use vehicles, but can fly for a time, until the jet pack runs out of energy and has to be (automatically) self-recharged. They are simplistic, but a lot of fun.
- there are five EDF games that I know of; two are on the PS2 (and one is a strategy game, unlike the other four, which are third person shooters), two are on the PS3, and three are on the XBox 360, and two are cross platform (PS3 and XBox 360).
Edit: You've probably heard of it already, but there's a fantastic 2D platform game called Limbo. It's amazingly atmospheric, but very short, sadly. Also, lots of people love Braid, but to me it's a case of very nice graphics and sound, quite clever design, but not much fun to play. |
