Thinking of what keeps bringing us back here or an excuse not to leave. It depends on it's P.O. Factor.

Shooters as in game type, not this forum.

Plausability of shooters - 99%

Originality of shooters - 5%

Fantasy

P: 80%

O: 60%

The reason why GE and PD and others are popular because it tells a story very close to truth. On the other hand fantasy stories are less plausable that makes it equally popular.

There's no exact science to it. It's the argument of the likeliness of seeing pink, purple dragons landing on the Runway in GE.

What's the rule to imagination. Create something original enough or something closest to the truth as possible?

I think you're overs tating the value of the story, here. Yes, a good story does help to make a game more immersive, but I love Perfect Dark and Goldeneye (my two favourite games) because the gameplay is so fantastic. By 'gameplay' I also mean the level design, weaponry, controls, and everything else that's relevant to gameplay.

I'd much rather play a good game with a bad story than a bad game with a good story.

Gonna have to agree with Kerr on that one. Wink I may be burned out on modding for both GE and PD in N64 AT THE MOMENT but I'll be back in the future. We OWE GE and Perfect Dark for Call of Duty AND Halo. Halo STOLE it's concepts from Perfect Dark's sim technology. NO GAME ever had that before. Not even Quake. GoldenEye MADE Call of Duty. You will NEVER kill this game. Trying to kill GoldenEye and Perfect Dark is like trying to convince people that ELVIS or MICHAEL JACKSONS music was underrated.
We OWE respect FOREVER to these two LEGENDARY games. Wink

A little hint there, MPX! Wink
