I've been tinkering with the editor and decided to mess with unused stuff.
From what I seen, LshoE is completely blank, opening in a hex editor reveals three lines of nothing, Tbg_sho_all_p_stanZ has some things defined as well as bg_sho_all_p.seg. The ROM appears to be missing UsetupshoZ and Ump_setupshoZ entirely. I wound up injecting a valid solo setup under the name UsetupshoZ which the game seems to recognize now(Not that it loads in-game, but the editor shows that sho is using the new setup files I added). The whole thing made think about using the unused slots for custom levels, but I'm still investigating. |

You could, but there isn't much gained by this. The mission campaign only has 20 levels you can choose, and multiplayer just 12. So even if you decide to use slots that went unused in the original game, you'll also not be using others in a custom ROM. Only benefit would be if you extended the level select lists. Otherwise, it's kind of a waste. |

True, but I figured if this works, I could possibly restore Citadel's stage and put it over random so all the other maps could still be playable in multi.
It's a long shot, but it would be cool to play all the old multi maps + Citadel.
I took a liking to that map. |
