That's pretty neat.
It sure beats having to buy an Adaptoid online.
Maybe somebody here will give it a shot.

I'm a little lost - does that convert an N-64 controller to be connected to the 9-pin serial port on your computer?

If so, that gave me an idea - Sega Genesis controllers have the DB9 port. You could just chop off the cable off of an old Sega Genesis controller and solder away! And I have a bunch of old sega genesis controllers left over from back in the day when I used to sell old video game stuff on ebay.

Which got me to thinking about something else - is there any way to use a Sega genesis gamepad on your computer via the DB9 serial port? I ran a google search and came up with nothing. The sega controller does fit perfectly into the serial port. I also remember back in the day that I could hook my sega controller up to my Commodore 64 computer and it would work just fine (of course, the B button and the D-pad were the only functional buttons on the C-64)

not so sure about the Sega Controller, but if you really want an easy controller... use an xbox controller. the wires are the same colour code as a usb cable, just dont use the YELLOW wire. all the others connect easy. gnd to gnd, red to red, green to green, and white to white. just google search the drivers and you are good to go.
