No I don't use autoaim - it defaults the crosshair to enemy chests. The PPK is highly accurate |

007 maxed? That would be what, like insta-kill since the enemies would be 100% accurate and would have very fast reaction times, their weapons would be crazy powerful and they'd have a lot of health requiring all headshots. |

Exactly. It's impossible to beat the game maxed, since guards attack in groups sometimes, and obviously you can't shoot them all at the same time haha |

I noticed that when you run across smoke about 0:50, your game doesn't lag too much (or doesn't lag at all). How is that possible? Do you have a super computer or is it another reason? |

Completing the game in 007 with all maxed (Also known as Dark LTK) is possible and it has been done on original hardware without any cheats, so on PC it should also be possible. You just have to be really careful.
If my memory serves me well, the first time that Silo was completed in DLTK was just a few years ago around 2012. _________________ You can't win.

Holy shi*! I'm really surprised, whoever did that is the real James Bond!
I trust you, but is there any proof of that?
Using savestates it would be insanely hard, on N64... no words to describe it. |

That's incredible. With enemy health maxed out it's 10x normal, so it's like 10 headshots to kill an enemy plus they immediately react if they can make a visual line of sight to you and it's insta-kill if they fire on you. So I guess it would have to be a perfect pacifist run since there's not enough ammo to kill them like that and slappers would be suicide. Run through the mission and don't get shot at all so yeah, basically Real James Bond Mode. Clearly I just get hit too much because 00 Agent is still really difficult on certain missions. I have to watch all of these now. Are these runs on the 64? Forgot they can have body armor... Good lord.
After making another issue on GitHub with GLideN64, they basically told me that poor performance from smoke and explosions is accurate emulation. I mean that's nice that it can get that close to the N64 itself, but it makes smoke and explosions not much fun when they take the game from 60 FPS to single digits all the way down to slide show if you're in the middle of it. |

Good lord. | It's easy when you've learned the enemy reaction and line of sight - I prefer to play with 300 damage and 100 reaction it keeps things engaging Quote: | I noticed that when you run across smoke about 0:50, your game doesn't lag too much (or doesn't lag at all). it's fine with smoke imo deuxsonic wrote: | After making another issue on GitHub with GLideN64, they basically told me that poor performance from smoke and explosions is accurate emulation. So get rid of the transparency?
Watching these Dark LTK playthroughs, it really does not look like fun at that point but instead just finding exploits and getting very lucky and speedrunning past everything when possible. Anything to say you did it. It must be amusing if you worked on the game to see people put themselves through that. Put a skill level in your game that is pretty much impossible knowing that a small number of people will destroy themselves to get through it.
Do enemies clone themselves from hearing another enemy fire their weapon? I thought about stealthing my way through Depot but even taking them out silently still started the cloning and endless enemies. Maybe if I lure them somewhere far away from other enemies?
Graslu, what video plug-in do you use? |

Yeah, some levels have endless enemies even without alarm activated, which maybe is not fair. I guess Archives is the worst, a real army. If you stay in the first room, the guards will keep coming forever.
So, to beat these levels, I would say the key is moving fast, there won't be an army following you. Eliminate the guards you see and go straight ahead.
You know how to lean, right? Aim+A/D, that's pretty useful. |

I also use Glide64 'Final', it's the one I've been using since I started uploading back in 2013.
And yes, guards will come to you and respawn if you shoot with an unsilenced gun fast enough, but it doesn't matter if it's them the ones firing, they only react to yours.
You can use silenced guns, slappers, throwing knives or taps with the KF7 and other automatics to also stay stealthy. Sometimes for levels like Archives and Bunker II it's easier to just go through it slappers only. _________________ You can't win.

Sounds like it.
The lead cause of this is shader rendering on the modern blending which has a much heavier impact on processing Mhz/Ghz.
I tend to want to go through missions slowly, carefully killing every enemy (on the start of Aztec they seem to do that to me instead), but I guess if some of the missions have enemies that never stop spawning, that makes this impossible. I know playing Turok in the past that since the weaker enemies will keep respawning forever you never really get the satisfaction of having gotten everyone. |
