Not sure if there are any Metal Gear Solid fans, more specifically fans of Metal Gear Online 2 that was the multiplayer mode of MGS 4 - Guns of the Patriots.
Very soon it will be playable across any PS3 console, whereas before you needed an old PS3 with downgraded firmware, to when MGO was still playable.
Now you will just need a 6 GB (12 to be safe) USB and can be played on any PS3 model, but will need a copy of Metal Gear Solid 4, that has MGO included. Legacy Collection will not work.
SaveMGO team responsible for this, just floating this out there in the chance that anyone interested in playing this again.

Anyone with a PS3 should grab a used copy of MGS 4 : Guns of the Patriots (original version, greatest hits and I think platinum hits). Legacy edition or any released after the servers went down, does not contain the online files and will not work.
This is a unique multiplayer experience & a hidden gem. Hope to see you soldiers on the battlefield.

The game has to come unpatched v1.0 in order to run SaveMGO's own patch from USB device
I will be there as it will be my first time playing MGO2 =}
