GMDX (Give Me Deus Ex) v9 has been released today. It's a great mod that alters most things in the original game, and aims to make Deus Ex into the game it would have been if the original designers had had more time and resources

GMDX doesn't just improve the game, it's also designed to make the game more difficult for experienced players, so if you've never played Deus Ex before (and you really, really should, it's a fantastic action/RPG game) then you really should play the game in it's original form first, then when you want to replay it, then install GMDX and play the ultimate Deus Ex experience.

I'll have to dig out my copy of Deus Ex! I did work on some of the mods for Deus Ex 2 years ago (working on their terrible shadowing system), but this looks incredible! I wonder what changes they've made to the end of the game - as I always found that was the weakest part. Also doing a playthrough with only passive mods tended to break the game as it seemed like the creators never thought anyone would do that - so that needed fixed too
