Greetings! I've just recently purchased an N64 (along with 4 controllers, 4 extension cords, Svideo+HDMI adapter setup, Gameshark, etc.) and am hoping to create some cool multiplayer setups, specifically with the Goldeneye Weapon Set Editor.

Today I found Goldeneyeforever.com and found the program, but when I download it it's just two .ini files and I can't figure out how to get it to work. The site shows the program looking like this:





but again, when I open the files they are just text. Halp plz


EDIT: Also I'd like to use the character editor to swap the default characters for players 2-4 so they are set to "vanilla" characters (average height/size)

It's been quite a few years since those tools were made, and I am not sure when the last time anyone here has actually used them. When you click on "Generate Code!", does it add a bunch of GameShark codes inside the tool? That's what it should do, anyway. It's possible something is missing for them, which is kinda making them broken.

Do you own either an EverDrive 64 or a 64Drive? Most of us who really want to play with custom settings on console have purchased a flash cart. That way, you can try out all the great patches released on the GoldenEye Vault website, or download the editor program to create your very own edits to the original game. Might seem a bit expensive, but for all the things it allows you to do, it quickly makes up for the cost.

The zip file is missing the executable. All I can figure is that at some point after one of our several server changes, a virus scanner at the server side didn't like the .exe file as contained in the zip and deleted it.

Anyways, I tracked it down in the web archives:

Thank you so much! Any chance you have the string editor too? And am I right that I can use it to rename the weapon categories?
